A/N: I'm sorry I'm late. I fell asleep and planned to wake up after a power nap, but woke up the next morning. I'm so sorry I was so tired.
So as you can see, I'm uploading a long chapter on this day, so prepare for a mini binge ;)
It's been a crazy week but I'm so happy I was able to take this day and commit it to writing some more Kishiya content.

Also!!! Dandelions by Ruth B is starting so sound like how Chishiya felt about Karma throughout the story except he's confused oml especially the "I see forever in your eyes, I feel okay when I see you smile." I'm in tears help me.

Karma's POV
Beep... beep... beep...
I hear a few muffled voices near me, but I'm barely mentally present to comprehend anything that's even happening right now.
My throat feels so dry, and god I feel weak. I swallow, but instead feel a prickly scratchiness in my throat.
I'm so thirsty.
I attempt to open my eyes, but the lights in whatever room I'm in are too bright for my comfort. Even keeping my eyes closed doesn't protect me from the amounts of light that stings my vision. It's like when you close your eyes, but a flashlight is being held in front of you anyways.
I keep my eyes squinted, peeking one open very slightly and I look around, keeping the other one tightly closed.
A hospital room.
I look right and see that I'm right next to a wide-open window and I reach for it in a pointless attempt to close it. I'm too far. I huff in frustration and scrunch my face.
It's so bright in here.
To my left is another patient, female. Blonde and slender. She's surrounded by multiple people. They're all dressed in sleek black.
I know her.
She looks so familiar.
Suddenly, I get a rush of deja vu and remember the most vivid dream I've ever had in my life. It was so detailed, like one of those dreams the can't have not been real.
Games... Queen of Hearts... Chishiya...
I knew I knew her. I have to find Chishiya.
We really made it!
"Ryu!" I call out to the girl in the huskiest voice I've ever produced. She looks to me and furrows her brows, looking around to the people around her in question.
"Nurse! The other lady is awake!" One of the suited men walks to the door and pokes his head out.
"I wasn't aware they roomed her with a fan." One of the ladies says, not even attempting to be discreet.
Fan?
"Mom, don't be rude," Ryu talks back before looking to me.
"Nice to meet you and thank you for your support. How are you feeling?" She smiles as if we didn't literally drink together.
