Aresun cries from his room disturb the tension between Magnus and Maxwen.
"I'll check our son." Nag-aalangan na paalam niya dahil mukhang hindi magandag ideya na iwanan ang dalawa.
"Please, wife. Our son might be looking for me." Malamig na saad ni Magnus habang nakatitig kay Maxwen Atle.
Maxwen Atle smirked on her half-brother.
"I also wanna see Aresun, sunshine. He might missed me." Pang-aasar ni Atle sa Kuya nito.
Magnus' jaw clenched.
"Don't call my wife names, Maxwen." Magnus threatened.
"Who are you to stop me?" Maxwen mocked.
Mas lalong lumakas ang ingay ni Aresun kaya napilitan siyang iwan ang dalawa. Mabilis ang hakbang niyang pinuntahan ang anak sa silid nito. He's on the crib, crying.
"Mama's here..." Malambing na saad niya at kinarga ang anak.
Agad na tumigil ito sa pag-iyak at yumakap sa leeg niya. There's something in Aresun's hug that made her calm. There's peace and solemn feeling. Having a child wasn't on her plan years ago but now there's no single regret having Aresun. Her sun.
Lumabas sila sa silid at bumaba ng hagdan. Still the two were glaring on each other on the doorway.
"Papa!" Aresun's face brightens upon seeing his father.
Lumingon naman si Magnus. His face softened upon seeing how happy Aresun is. Humakbang ito palapit sa kanila. Hinalikan siya nito sa labi saka kinuha si Aresun mula sa kanya.
"Tsk. Flexing how beautiful your family is, huh?" Maxwen muttered bitterly.
And she know something is wrong. It's not just about how he hates Magnus or envy what the legitimate child have. But its about what he have been through as the first bastard of Dozen Sebastian.
Bago pa makapagsalita si Magnus ay nagkibit balikat si Maxwen at taas noong pumasok sa bahay nila.
"Seems like both of you don't have a plan to let me so I'll invite myself." Atle smirked and placed the basket of bread on table.
Lumapit si Atle sa mag-ama niya. Surprisingly, Aresun didn't cry, instead he raised his arms as if he wanted to be carried by Atle!
Maxwen Atle seems shock, too. Agad rin namang nakabawi at dali-daling kinuha ang pamangkin. The smug smirk on his lips were replaced by a wide grin as he carry Aresun on his arms.
"The little monster seems to like me today, huh?" Tuwang-tuwa na saad ni Maxwen.
MAGNUS doesn't know if he'll frown or get happy, too. Seeing his half-brother smile so genuinely as he carried his own nephew. That's the first time he saw Maxwen smile like that, he's so fond of Aresun.
But there's still bit of jealousy inside him. Si Maxwen na nga ang naroon n'ong wala siya, and now Aresun is already giggling on his uncle's arm.
Seems like there's a silent competition between the first legitimate Sebastian and first bastard Sebastian.
"Aresun..." Magnus tried to catch his son's attention.
Bumaling naman ang atensyon ni Aresun sa ama pero mabilis na naagaw ni Maxwen dahil sinasayaw na nito ang bata.
"Lalalala~ you like to dance, baby?" Pag-aagaw nito sa atensyon ng anak habang isinasayaw.
Aresun slowly giggled.
Music to his ears. But he frowned at Maxwen.
Napatikhim siya at hinanda ang lalamunan.
"Baby, baby, you're my sun and moon..." He sang.
