So without further ado, the chapter-

A regrettable notion on his part, for what Justin had seen, he wished he could forget. He looked on in shock at Avalon settled, in the grass, at the trunk of a tree.

Not just that though as a boy of curly brown hair lay on her lap. She stroked blissfully through his hair; they looked into each other's eyes without a care in the world.

"When, Ava? I need to know." The boy urged, his voice strained. He sat up abruptly before putting a hand on Avalon's waist. Justin did his best to keep composure. He needed to hear this.

The boy spoke again.
"I don't wanna hide it from anyone. Your body belongs to me and I want to shout that at the top of my lungs." He murmured sweetly, pressing his lips to her neck.

Avalon giggled at this and that was when Justin broke. She pushed the boy away from her neck with a smile before taking ahold of his hand. Her voice was soft and sweet as she spoke, a tone that Justin had gotten familiar with hearing when she talked with Aaron.

"I know, I'm yours, Eli. Please, understand that, okay? I'm yours." She whispered before leaning in to kiss the boy. He kissed back feverishly before they both lay in the grass, facing each other. His hand was strewn across her waist and her hand rested on his face as she slowly caressed him.

Each step that she took from the uber to his house moved in accordance to her pounding heart. She didn't know why she was nervous nor did she know why she couldn't keep the smile off her face.

Perhaps it was because this was the only man that had ever truly seen her as though she was a deity, someone who saw her as a goddess with no comparison. Or perhaps it was because it was nice to- for once- not be under the large  shadow that Aaron's presence had cast. She was coming to realise that it was not her that was the sun for their friend group but, rather, Aaron who the group centred around. All the boys looked to him in awe and despite Raven being her closest girl friend, Raven still confided her issues in Aaron, not her. And although she had known Justin from birth, she could see the bond he and Aaron had; it scared her to think that this bond would grow stronger than theirs.

She loved Aaron; he was a gorgeous man of her calibre and people looked on them in envy. Avalon was one to sought out the best and she achieved just that with this relationship. She was content with that.

But, still, there was a niggling part of her that felt something else entirely. It wasn't resentment, but it was close to it and it festered and petrified until all Avalon could feel was a gnawing sense of inferiority in his presence. She was good, but he was better and she hated it with every fibre of her being. Second place wasn't for her.

So, perhaps that's why she felt excitement as she walked through his lawn towards his door. She knocked gently, not wanting even to give off any essence of eagerness as she gingerly stroked down the hem of her floral dress. She had deliberated long and hard on what to wear and finally settled on the innocent aesthetic, her golden hair in a messy plait, leaving soft tendrils framing her face. Aaron always went crazy for this look.
