Back to Fhallon's POV:

"He really is a good looking guy, huh?", Rachel's voice intruded my daydreaming thoughts as I watched Carlos on television at a press conference with his whole team.

"If you say so," I tried to look like uninterested.

"Oh quit it. We already know something is going on between the two of you," Jeanie came from behind us.

I didn't comment back but just smiled and continued being mesmerized and watching the television.

"Fhallon - Russell is here to see you," I hear Ken caling out to me.

My daydreaming ended so abruptly and turned to run and hide but too late, Ken brought him in.

I almost lost my balance. "Heey - " I greeted him with a fake smile. "What are you doing here?"

"I came to see you. I haven't seen you for a while. Seems as if you were avoiding me," he sounded concern with raised eyebrows.

"What? No - Sorry I meant to call but I was busy," I said, scratching my neck and leading him away from the others.

"So - are you free right now? Maybe grab a cup of coffee?", he asked

"Sure - sure. Rachel I'll be back, gonna step up for a while," I informed.

The cafe we went to was 10 minutes drive. I didn't know why he chose that cafe until we got there.

"You know, I wanted to talk to you because I want you to meet someone - ", he said as he opened the door and I became curious.

"Hey - you're here," a blonde lady, with a killer body, dressed up with a long sleeves dress and a trench coat, came running and lightly hug Russell.

"Sorry for keeping you waiting. Anyways, Fhallon - meet Belle - my girlfriend," he introduced us excitedly.

Oh. Belle. The one he told me before.

"Hi," I extended my hand to her for a handshake. "Nice to finally meet you."

She greeted me back before we found ourself a table.

"So - how long have you guys been seeing each other, if you don't mind me asking?" I asked

"I'd say a few months - 2 - 3 months now right?" Belle responded and looking at Russell to confirm which he just nodded.

"How did you guys meet?"

"We actually met at this other restaurant - my team had a corporate dinner there and she was there with her friends. I saw her and -

"I saw him," Belle continued beaming with excitement 'and we exchanged contact and started seeing each other from there. It's a bonus that he's a cop," Belle continued to tease, nudging him.

She went on to say "What about you - are you seeing anyone?"

I shook my head slowly. I wasn't going to tell my business to someone I just met anyways. Russell seemed confused but didn't make a comment.

"Oh I'm sorry - I didn't mean to -

I scoffed. "Don't be. It's not a matter to be sorry for. It's a different century now, not seeing anyone won't kill ya," it sounded defensive eventhough I know my situation is of the opposite of what she was saying but single or not, women are free to choose the life they want now and not just being in relationships. Russell signaled by touching the back of his neck, almost as if to say not to say anything more.

She probably didn't mean in the way I thought she did but I couldn't stand people like that.

"Nevertheless, I'm sure I will find someone - just as you guys have found one another, right?," great way to save the day Fhallon. I thought to myself.

They nodded.

"Do you work around here?," I asked.

"Oh no - I run an online clothing business with a friend," she said.

"Oh what's it called - I should check it out," I tried to be supportive.

"Oh - it's not known yet. It's just starting, probably not your type," she said. "I'll let you know when it starts to hit."

"O-kay let me know. Wanna show support to someone special to my dear friend,"

"Thank you," she said in a high pitched voice. She then turned and lightly kiss Russell. They are kind of cute.
