Along the Red Sea

Gold pieces clinked and something clattered as Marion landed on artifacts.

"Marion!" Indy yelled in fear.

"I'm all right!" Marion rolled and felt her body slid off the pile of ancient riches.

Striking a match, she reached in her pack for another candle. And then watched it go out.

"Indy?"

She heard a whip snap and he was beside her with a cigarette lighter.

"Are you ok?"

The small glow of the struggling lighter illuminated both their faces. Before Marion could answer - the cigarette lighter went out.

"Indy?" Marion felt for his hand in the dark. "Please tell me your cigarette lighter just ran out of lighter fluid?"

He shook it. They both heard the sloshing of a nearly full container.

"Bad air," Indy murmured, trying to keep the fear from his tone.

"No or low oxygen?" Marion confirmed. "But... if there's water coming in from somewhere?"

"It's pushing the low oxygen air up to our level," Indy explained, pushing her to the floor. "Stay low, we might have a chance."

"And Em?"

"Wherever she is - she's able to scream - we can hang onto that hope."
