• Jordan's POV •

My alarm started ringing and I groaned as I shut it off. Two pm. I stretched out in my bed and then checked my phone.

Sorry for falling asleep last night Will had texted me. He was up at ten am? He must be exhausted.

It's alright :) I sent back. He responded immediately.

I've decided that I'm going to pick you up instead

Why? I asked.

Because I want to. I'll be there at 5. Also we'll be able to avoid my mum taking a million pictures of us he said. I started to type out a response but he texted me again before I could finish. This is non negotiable. I'm picking you up, send me address. I did as I was told, laughing a little bit.

See you soon I typed and then set my phone down. I had to take a quick shower before prom.

I grabbed my suit from the hangers and laid it out on my bed. I was in nothing but my underwear but water droplets were still sitting on my skin. I stuck the towel to them, trying to dry off before I got dressed. After I finished, I wrapped the towel around my head, trying to do that thing that girls do. But I couldn't do it and I gave up, tossing the towel onto the floor. My suit looked pretty nice, it got me a little more excited. I put it on and checked myself in the mirror, making sure every detail was straight. My dark blue tie matched nicely with the rest of it. Will would be here any minute. I waited for him anxiously, standing by the window in my living room. There was a perfect view of my driveway and I watched for Will. I don't know what car he drives so I can't even watch for anything specific. I decided to go outside to wait. This way, he'll be able to see me. He won't have to look for house numbers. Easy. I think I'm using that as an excuse to do something. I couldn't stand still. I was fidgeting with my fingers and adjusting my tie nervously. It was kinda cold outside which made the wait for Will feel even longer. I saw a red car turn onto my street. My heart beat started to pick up a bit. But it drove past, it wasn't Will. I took out my phone to text him.

Are you almost here? I wrote out. I knew he wouldn't text me if he was driving. I looked up once more before I clicked send but I saw a black car slowly making it's way down my road. I made eye contact with Will and smiled, erasing my message.
