Guinn drops like a rag doll from Wall Rose. No one here is fast enough to catch her, and I'm reluctant to as well. I know I've caught her before, but I didn't ever expect to catch anyone in front of people.
I'd rather have disappointed expectations than a dead soldier that could have actually helped something.
So I swoop down and snatch her unconcious body from the air. I drop her into Kerstien's arms. "Take her back. Tell her she was an idiot to come out here."
I barely hear his "Yes, sir." Before I'm far away.
Why is it that I'm the one saving her life? She fell while I was training her, so I caught her. Now she falls during training and I still have to catch her.
