Belly Button Facts

Today's episode of Good Mythical Morning revolves around our new single, It's My Belly Button. To honor the release of the song as well as belly buttons everywhere, we are giving the mythical beasts a bunch of strange facts about the belly button.

Our song, the belly button song, revolves around these two adult men who discover they have a belly button after going through their entire lives oblivious to the fact that they've had it this long. They plant belly button trees and end up carbon offsetting themselves. This carbon offsetting results in them doing crazy things including inventing and selling fully functional do-it-yourself miniature coal plants exclusively for children.

Now, Link and I have done some.... Interesting research and found the strangest and most bizarre facts about belly buttons. We found a whole bunch but decided to only give the mythical beasts our top five favorite bizarre belly button facts.

"It's time to take a trip inside your belly button."

"Let's talk about that."

We then finish the teaser and make sure we each have our facts that we will read to the mythical beasts. Once we have everything ready and the crew is ready, Link says "good mythical morning" to the mythical beasts, and we start the episode.

Link POV

Rhett starts talking about the release of our new music video It's My Belly Button. I chime in with a "Wooo!" We released it yesterday. We have a sample of the video on the monitor and Rhett starts to talk about it a little bit.

"It is a.... Exploration into what it might be like if two grown men, these guys, discovered their belly buttons for the first time.... Ever."

"And it gets stranger from there" I chime in a few seconds later. We then invite them to go check it out if they haven't already. But of course after they finish watching this episode.

"You're gonna appreciate belly buttons that much more after we tell you some factoids. These aren't just facts-"

"They're toids of facts."

"-they're factoids."

"when you can take a fact and toid it, then it justifies spending ten minutes with us on the Internet."

"These are actually factroids, Link. They're facts on steroids."

"Because they're unnaturally strong."

"Maybe I built it up too much. Let me st-"

"Probably so."

"Let me start with the first one. Link, and mythical beasts, did you know that your belly button is a bacteria farm?"

"No."

"Yeah. Listen, you may know-"

"Well, yes. I've put my finger in there before-"

"And it's a little stinky?" Rhett asks while nodding his head and laughing.

"And then I've smelt it."

"The reason it's a little stinky is-"

"And it- it- it stinks."
