I shove my luggage above the seat when I hear Jay talking to someone. And wouldn't ya know it guess who.

" Mind if I pull this table down to do some work  ? ". Jared says as he opens the table setting his laptop atop it.

" Nope not at all go right ahead ".

" I'm Jared and you are ?"

" Julie , nice to meet you ! You headed to NY for business or pleasure ?" She smiled and looked his way.

His ocean blues wear hypnotizing and deep.

" Oh I'm all about mixing both. And you ?"

Was he flirting with her ? I walk back to my seat and try and block the flirting fest out of my brain.

" Same here. I own a coffee shop in downtown LA. Im excited to go meet up with an old friend and then talk coffee. How about you what's your pleasures you seek on this trip."

Jared smiled and rubbed his chin.
" Oh I have plenty of things , very pleasurable ideas I seek in New York. That place is magical , it makes your wildest fantasies come alive. Girl or guy ?"

Julie laughed and almost choked on her water.

" What's that supposed to mean ? Girl or guy ?"

He laid his head back and said " it's a simple question , girl or guy? Who are going to go meet up with when your there in New York ?"

She covered her eyes. She was so embarrassed that she didn't know how to look at him or answer his simple question.

" Oh my did you think I meant sex ? Dirty birdie , you think like me , I like you already . No but really who are you meeting there ?"

"My best friend , Travis. We have a trip coming up and need to tie up some loose ends before we go ".

Shannon couldn't help but Eve's drop and wonder what loose ends.

" Auh is he wanting to back out ?"

" No no not that , he's busy with work so am I. We may have to shorten the trip that's all noting big ". She leaned her head back and closed her eyes.

Jared leaned his head back against the headrest and closed his laptop. He couldn't help but notice that she had a button on her shirt open. Did he dare say something and hopefully not come off as peeping tom?

" I can see your boobs ".

Her eyes shot open as she covered her chest.

" Nice ones too I gotta say. Just being honest. ".

For some reason she didn't seem to mind and shot him back a compliment

" Your eyes are sexy , just thought I'd let you know ". She smiled and closed her eyes again and suddenly felt his finger brush over her hand making her hair stand straight on end.

Neither one said another word the rest of the flight. Sneaky touched and side glances , both felt something. This one was a interesting man to say the least she thought to herself.

The plane landed and everyone exited.

One by one they gathered their pieces of luggage from the terminal.

She was all set to find her awaiting car when she felt a heated overwhelming prescience behind her. She stopped just short of the doorway and heard someone say " Leaving so soon ? "

She turned and saw Jared standing there.

" Hey what's up ". She said with a gleam in her eyes.

" I was thinking we get to know each other better over dinner , say 8 at my hotel ?"

She tilted her head and bit her lip and said " I'd love that , here's my number ".

They exchanged numbers and parted ways.

At the hotel , she called up Travis yo let him know she had landed safely and was gonna chill watch a movie and drink if he wanted to join her he was more then welcome too. He accepted and headed to her place.

She undressed an was about to take a shower when she heard knock at the door. Might be room service , time to eat !

She answered the door and it was who she thought it was , oh no it was the last person she could think of. Shannon.

" Why are you here ?"

He stepped inside and closed the door.

" Why are you flirting with my brother ?"

" Your brother ? Who are you talking about ?"

Then it hit her , Jared was Shannon's brother ?

" Don't even go there , walk away. "

" Don't tell me what to do ! You don't one me !"

Shannon grabbed her hands placing them above her head.

" like I said leave him alone. Go find someone else to fuck "

" Who says I'm gonna fuck him ? It's just getting to know each other besides why do you care ? You made it clear you don't wanna date anyone. ".

Shannon gripped her hands tighter and got beside her ear. " Jared is just like me. Fuck them then leave them don't let his nice demeanor fool you for one second".

I pulled away and asked him to leave my room. I was mortified and pissed that he even came over.

As he left I texted Travis and asked him to hurry up.

He arrived shortly after our text stating he was having trouble parking.

" Why would he act like that ? That's so not him ? Unless he likes you ? ".

" I don't like him. His brother is more charming and friendly. Shannon's a prick who thinks woman worship his ass. Turnoff big time. Look I get you to are buddies and coworkers but I'm not a fan of him right now. Oh yea I have dinner plans with his brother. That's gonna be interesting. I actually like Jared ".

"Just be careful jewels. You don't really know either one. "

He had a point. But still I was being very open minded and wanted to give both a chance. Especially Jared. Who knows what will happen in this date ? And if Shannon was being jealous that I was dinning with his brother so be it. We just met I wanna get to know him , end of story.

I eventually got dressed and headed out to meet up with Jay at his hotel room.
