You jerked and jerked against your restraints, trying your hardest to break free of them, your head pounding from the pure panic setting in. Who on earth would do this to you?! You've been stuck on this table like contraption for hours it seemed, and haven't made any breakthrough.
"Hello! It would seem you're alive. Good! The gas didn't do much harm. My experiment worked." Your eyes went wide from the sudden voice booming throughout this dungeon like room, your heart picking up the pace from the sudden terror you felt. That voice....
"What do you want?! Let me go!" Sudden laughter filled your ears like a sharp knife as you jerked back, trying with all your might to free yourself, but to no avail.
"No no no! You see my dear, I can't do that. Of course, you could answer a... question, and I'll let you go. Only if it's the correct answer you give. Otherwise.... boom!" You jumped a little from his rather loud voice, your eyes starting to water once you realized just who was doing this to you. Eddie. Your Eddie...
"Ed...?" The room went deathly silent as your eyes remained wide, on alert. And your heart kept beating and beating and beating as fast as it could possibly go without exploding. Why...? Why would he turn against you? What has happened?
"(Y/N)... you know what kind of man I am dear. You should have known I wouldn't just let you free after you saw me do the things I have!!" Tears slid down your face as his yelling filled your ears once more, your heart shattering into millions of pieces. You just could never give up on him. Even though you knew what kind of person he truly was. He always outsmarts everyone.
"Ed! How on earth could you possibly think I'd do anything to get you in trouble?? Is that what this is about??" Your head fell back against the surface behind you, defeat not far from you as you waited in total silence for his response, feeling sick.
"Listen, I know you wouldn't. But a man still has his games to play my dear. Riddles to give. Deaths to deal out. You know how I work. You know the game. And I always win..." You instantly started to sob as you heard the click of the mic, like it was being shut off, terrified of what could possibly be coming. You loved a man that was only set on hurting you in the end, is all you could think now.
But suddenly, the door slowly opened, one you barely could see, when lights came on around you, revealing Ed in a green suit, a new one it would seem. Your eyes locked with his and your head dropped, not wanting to look anymore, until his feet finally came into view below, is finger softly lifting your head.
"Don't look so glum. I'm not going to kill you! Now, my traps may be rigged for such things. But this one? I have shut off. I just didn't say that so you'd actually listen." Your eyes went wide from his words, so confused by all this. He doesn't want to kill you....? But yet, he went as far as to make you cry, make you fear what you thought was the inevitable.
"I just don't understand why you felt the need for this Ed. I'm not some toy you can chain up when you feel like it! I'm not some test dummy." His eyes went wide from your sudden outburst has anger took over you, not caring what he does now. Only that you want to show your point. For the past month he has used you to further his inventions on traps and riddles. At first it was fun. You loved them and thought they were brilliant. But then he started to do things that hurt you. And he just got lost In the madness of his own game.
"I know... I know!! But I put you here like this because I was afraid, you'd leave. And I can't have that. No..." You slumped back some as pain shot through your arms from the restrains being so tightly wrapped around you, your head still pounding. Ed has certainly changed. He's lost in this game of his. But you know you couldn't just leave. He may be a mad man. But he's your mad man..
