Liz’s P.O.V

“No, I don’t want to get up.” I whined. Caitlin decided that today would be a great day to wake me up early. And I want to kill her because of it. I love her, but she just doesn’t get the point that of sleep. Which get’s kind of annoying. Especially when I was up till about three on the phone with Niall.

I know he just left yesterday, but I already miss him a ton. But it’s the first day of July tomorrow, and that means that there’s only about a month until our break. I cannot wait for the break, but at the same time I can. I love being on tour, and this is my dream. I’ve always wanted to be doing this. Singing is my life, and I never want it to change.

Yet at the same time I cannot wait for Niall to meet my parents. I know my mom is really excited about it. He’s probably the first boyfriend I’ve ever brought home. I grew up in a small town and everybody pretty much knew everybody. So my parents normally have already met the guy I was dating at the time. Plus my dad is a giant and scares quite a lot of people.

“Liz, c’mon we need to brain storm ideas for a new song. I need your help with the music.” Caitlin whined.

I groaned and opened my eyes. This is going to be such a long day. We’ll be on the road for a couple hours, do a sound check, and then perform a concert. Then pretty much the same thing tomorrow. And then the next day, and all the way until we get to Georgia.

“Fine, where’s my guitar?” I asked, slowly climbing out of the bunk.

She told me it was already on the couch. I bent over and put my hair into a pony tail using the tie that was on my wrist. I laughed a little and the mark on my wrist. I’ve always thought they were cool. It’s just this purple ring around your wrist. It’s like an invisible bracelet.

“Liz, are you coming?” Caitlin asked. I snapped out of my thoughts and walked towards her.

“Sorry, I was thinking about invisible bracelets.” I said, sitting down on the couch thing that was against the wall of the bus. She looked over at me, confused, but decided not to ask about it. I pulled my feet up was I was sitting crisscross and then I grabbed my guitar, putting in on my lap.

“Okay, so what type of song do you want? This might be harder than I thought.” I said.

I started to strum on my guitar just to get some ideas flowing. When that didn’t work I looked out the window. We were passing some farms and what not. They are all over the place here. It’s actually kind of crazy. We weren’t going to fast because the high way was quite busy. But didn’t mind, I like seeing all the scenery.

“Wait, listen to this and then tell me what you think.” Caitlin said, turning to face me. I looked back at her and motioned for her to go on. She smiled at me before singing what she wrote on the notebook.

"You were walking on the moon, now you're feeling low oh oh…What they said wasn't true, you're bea-tif-ful…sticks and stones break your bones, I know what you're feeling." Caitlin sang. As she said I could kind of picture a tune for it. I think it should start off with a drum and clapping beat.

“Wait, sing that again.” I said.

She nodded and began to sing the part. I strummed on the guitar, trying to make it sound like a drum beat, as she sang. It sounded better, but I have to admit it wasn’t what we were looking for. Well what I saw looking for. The only other instrument in this bus is Julie’s keyboard, but I think that’s under the bunks. She only bought one because it’s close to a piano and she loves playing the piano.
