I woke at about 6:30, feeling the weight of his arm on me still, and his soft snores in my ear against my neck. It relaxed me and I drifted to sleep again, smiling.

Fletcher's POV (OMG finally, eh?)

I woke up at 7am, my arm still over Sammy's waist. I smiled. Finally, I thought. Finally, I'm waking up to her next to me. Too bad this won't ever happen again... She's going to hate me as soon as she wakes up. But I can't. I can't stay.
Slowly and carefully, I got out of bed and got changed into my fresh clothes and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and style my hair. Once done, I made sure I had everything in my duffle bag and left the bedroom, stopping at the bar to write a note.
'Sammy--
I'm sorry I left again. I keep leaving you at times like this. I wish I could stay. I really do. But I need to get back to California, back to my job.
I realised something while we were together last night, even though we didn't say much. I can't tell you what the thing was that I realised, but it's one of the things I need to go back to Cali to do. Maybe fate will bring us together once more... Third time's got to be a charm, right?
I really am sorry Samantha...
I love you.
--Fletcher'

I re-read the note, and decided to erase the 'I love you' from it. I left it sitting on the bar next to her phone and left after taking one last look at her.
Goodbye Sammy. Until fate steps in next time...

I got off my plane in California at about lunch time. I didn't book my bag in so I went straight past luggage claim and out to see if anyone was here to greet me.
"Fletcher!" a female voice called. I turned and saw the familiar red hair making it's way through the crowd and to me.
"Hey" I smile and she leaned up and pressed her lips to mine.
"Come on, I've got lunch at home" she says and puts her hand in mine before leading me away, through the crowd and outside.

"Fletcher, babe, can you get the door?" Sienna asked me when the doorbell rang. I stood and opened it for her, as she was getting ready for going out tonight with her girlfriends.
"Hi Fletcher" Sienna's best friend, Hayley, says and walked in past me. I shut the door and followed her in. "Where's Sienna?"
"Getting ready. Sit, please" I say and sit back on the brown couch. Sienna's place wasn't much. Just a regular one bedroom apartment. Much like mine, but mine had two bedrooms, and was more modern.
"Alright. How was New York?" she asked. I hadn't told anyone the reason I went to New York. I had told Sienna it was for work, and my work that it was for family. Technically, it was for family. Kenzie's family. I consider her my sister. Even though she's uh, yeah.
"Fletcher, hey" Hayley waved her hand in my face. "You spaced again" she giggled.
"Oh. Sorry. Um, New York was good. Yeah, good" I nodded. Everyone here believed the front I put up. Even Sienna. Who was meant to be my fiancé. My actual friends didn't. They always knew when something was up. Sammy always knows, you know. She knows everything about you. What you do when you lie, when you're angry, sad, happy-
"Fletcher!" I looked up and saw Sienna and Hayley looking at me concerned.
"Sorry, what?" I asked sheepishly. I hadn't been listening. Sammy was on my mind. Again.
"I said, will you be here when I get back?" Sienna asked again, sighing.
"Uh, I don't know. Maybe" I shrug.
"Okay. Make sure you lock up if you leave" she says and kisses me on the lips, then they left.
Kissing Sienna is nothing compared to kissing Sammy. I know it's been seven years since I've kissed her, but I just know that it would still have the same effect on me it always does. Fireworks. Sparks. Explosives. It just felt right when I kissed her. But, when I kissed Sienna... I don't know. It felt... plain. Like I was being used. Like I was using her. There was nothing in the kisses we shared. Nothing.
Face it Fletcher. You want to kiss Sammy. I said to myself.
"No" I said out loud. "I need to kiss Sammy" I whispered, slowly smiling.
