"I'm sorry again, Kenz. I really love you so much... I'll visit soon, I promise. With yellow roses next time; your favourite" I said, smiling softly and stood up. I wiped as much mud as I could from my pants. The rain hadn't let up since I got here half an hour ago. I sat and talked about my life for the past few years. I felt I owed it to her. "By the way, Kenz. I'm not just visiting because Sammy made me feel guilty" I looked down, tears still spilling, but the rain kept washing them away. "I've been meaning to come visit. I have. I just... felt too bad about it. Like, I have time to visit you now, when you're dead, but not when you were alive. Ironic, right? I know you love irony things" I chuckled. I bent down and kissed the top of her tombstone. "Love you Kenz... bye" I whispered and went back to my car. I cried a bit more before driving away to go home.

Sammy's POV

I stood in the elevator as it went up, twenty minutes after I stormed out of my own home. Now, I was inviting myself into someone else's, who I haven't spoken to in a while. I just, needed to be with someone who knew the back story, but wouldn't ask questions; just let me be.

When the doors dinged open, I walked out, my duffle bag hanging over my shoulder. I stepped into the lounge room and saw him sitting on the couch, back to me, and another guy behind the bar, two glasses sitting in front of him and a bottle of whiskey in his hand.

"Um, hi... can we help you?" the guy at the bar said. He turned around to face me from the couch and he frowned at my appearance before walking to me.

"Sammy, what's wrong? Why have you been crying?" he asked, holding me at arms length, inspecting me.

"C-Can I stay here a few days? I don't want to- I can't go home" I ask.

"Of course" he said, still frowning in confusion. A tear slipped down my face and he pulled me into his arms, and I sobbed silently into his chest, ruining his white shirt with my tears. He walked us to the couch and sat down, me crying into his chest still. He comforted me by rubbing my back and playing with my hair, making 'shh' noises into my ear softly.

I calmed down soon after and sat up, crossing my legs and facing him. "Sorry" I mumbled, looking down.

"It's fine, Sammy. Do you want to talk about it?" he asked. I shook my head. "Didn't think so. I remember you being so stubborn" he jokes, and I smile a little. "Hey, I got you to smile" he says. I look up into his dark blue eyes. His brown hair looked in need of a trim, but he made it look good. "Sammy, this is my roommate, and one of my best friends, Joel. Mate, this is Sammy" he says. I look to the other end of the couch and smile at him.

"Hi" I wave slightly. "Sorry for uh, showing up and crying" I say, embarrassed.

"It's fine, Sammy. He doesn't stop talking about you, you know. He's like, in awe at you" Joel joked. I laughed. "Hey! I got her to laugh!" he said triumphantly.

"So, you're staying for a few days then?" he asked, looking to me, away from his best friend.

"Yeah, if that's okay" he grinned.

"Of course! We have so much to catch up on" he says and swings an arm around me, and Joel handed us both a glass half-full of whiskey.
