"What do you mean Simon isn't coming tomorrow?!" Georgia screamed down the phone. Her and I were back at the office, and it was now 5:30. Everyone else had gone home, but we came back here to do last minute things. "Well what am I meant to do now!? I'm one model short! Do you know how hard it is to find a male model on short notice?!" she exclaimed to whoever she was talking to. "WHAT?!" she screamed bloody murder. I jumped in my seat just outside her office at my desk. "Another one?! Do they not understand the terms! No partying or being stupid the day before! Now I need two replacements!" she exclaimed. She sounded so tired, so I searched through our model contacts, those who weren't booked for tomorrow. "Fine... whatever... Simon's out the whole week? And Hayley is out just for tomorrow?" she went silent, listening. "Okay. I'll deal with it" she slammed the phone down to hang up and I heard her exhale loudly.
"Georgia?" I call out, a grin on my face.
"What is it, Sammy?" she asked.
"I know what can help" I said and pressed print. I got up and took the sheet of paper and went into her office. "Luke Waters. He's not booked for tomorrow" I said and put the paper onto her desk. She looked at the photo in the top corner, thinking over it. "He usually does shoots, but he has done runway a few times" I add. Her lips pursed and looked up at me.
"Call him now. Before it's too late" she says. I grin and snatch the paper up, rushing back to my desk. I call his mobile and wait for him to answer.
"Hello?"
"Hi! Is this Luke Waters?" I ask, grinning.
"Yes, who's this?"
"Hi, I'm Sammy Dylan. I work at DNA Models" I say.
"Oh yeah! I know you! Yeah yeah, what can I do for you, Sammy?" he asked.
"Well, I was wondering if you'd be able to step in for Fashion Week? One of our models isn't able to come anymore" I say and wait. The silence was killing me.
"Sure! Where and when?" he asked. I sighed, relieved.
"You need to be at the Hudson building (a/n-made up) by 6am" I told him.
"Okay, I can do that. Thanks for calling, Sammy. I'll see you tomorrow"
"Thanks Luke. Bye" I hang up. "Got him!" I called out to Georgia. She walked out, ready to leave, so I got my coat and bag.
"Thank God for you! Now, I need you to do me a favour..." she trails off as we walk to the elevator.
"Sure, anything" I say and we get into it and the doors shut.
"I need you to walk in the Vera Wang show tomorrow" she says. To say my jaw hit the floor would be an understatement.
