When I woke up in the morning, I noticed I was on the couch. Also, that someone's legs were wrapped with mine, and I felt a body beneath me, and an arm around me. I looked down and saw Fletcher there. Out of surprise, I fell off the skinny couch, making him fall too, since our legs were wrapped together.

"Uh, sorry. Thought I was in bed and rolled over" I lied and stood up.

"That's fine. We must've fallen asleep during the movie" he said and sat back on the couch. The title scenes for Home Alone 2 were on the TV screen, telling us that it had finished and was on that for a while. I switched it off and made myself some breakfast, ready for another day at work.

"Georgia, are you sure you don't want me to stay longer?" I asked her again, hopeful.

"I'm sure, Sammy. Go home. You're tired" she insists. I sigh and reluctuntly pack my things up.

"You can't avoid him forever. You live with him" Jedd said, watching me. I sighed.

"I know. But it's just kinda awkward now" I chew my lip nervously; a habit I've picked up a long time ago.

"Samantha Dylan. You're what, 26 years old now? You can handle a boy" he sighed.

"I know, I know. But it's not just any boy, Jedd. It's Fletcher" I sigh. He shook his head, amused, and collected his things.

"If you want a ride, I'm leaving now" he says, stopping in front of my desk.

"No, it's fine. I'll catch a cab soon" I smile. He shrugged and left. After ten minutes, I left too and hailed a cab.

When I got back to the loft, no one was there. Yes! I sighed, relieved. Then, as if I spoke too soon, the front door opened and he walked inside.

"Oh, hey" he says and smiled.

"Hi. You just got off work?" he nodded. He bought his Personal Trainer business with him to New York, and has better, high up clients now.

"Yeah. You?"

"Yep. Just got back" I say, and it went awkward. I cleared my throat and walked back to my room, shutting the door and sighing.

I don't understand why things needed to be awkward. It's so annoying.

I huffed and changed into comfortable clothes to lounge around in for the night, then went back out to endure the awkwardness of the night in the loft.
