I groaned as the sun beamed into my eyes, attempting to cover them with my pillow. I heard a light chuckle as the bed dipped beside me.

"Aubrey, your phone has been buzzing nonstop, please break it." Stiles pleaded as I sat up, hearing the annoying buzzing coming from the nightstand beside me.

I grabbed the phone, not bothering to look at the caller ID, placing it up to my ear. "Hello?" I muttered.

"Aubrey, It's Liam. You need to get back here right away." He panicked, causing me to sigh. "Why?"

"Some kind of portal opened up, right in the middle of the school. The Sheriff closed down the school because of it."

"Have any of you tried going through it?" I asked, standing up from the bed.

"It's like it wont let us. We figured since you're different, it might work for you." He said, causing me to sigh.

"I'll be there as soon as I can." I said before hanging up the phone, frowning.

"What's wrong babe?" Stiles said as I sighed. "They need me back in Beacon Hills." I admitted, causing him to frown. "What's wrong?"

"There's some kind of portal that opened up there and they wanted me to try and go through it." I placed my clothes that were scattered all over the floor, into my suitcase, pressing it down before turning to Stiles. "I'm so sorry. This roadtrip was supposed to be about us and now i might not see you for a while and now you-"

He cut me off, grabbing my shoulders, smiling. "Aubrey, it's okay. I understand. You're the hero that Beacon HIlls needs."He said, causing me to shake my head. "But every superhero needs their trusty sidekick."

He shakes his head, zipping up my suitcase, handing me the handle. "Go save the town."

"But what about you?" I asked, feeling the tears welling up in my eyes as he shrugged. "I'll take a plane."

I frowned, letting the teardrops fall, wrapping my arms around his body, burying my face into his neck. "I'm going to miss you. I'm going to miss you so damn much."

"I'm gonna miss you too Aubrey." He sniffled as we pulled away. "Don't think of this as a goodbye. Think of it as a see you soon." He said, causing me to laugh.

"That's so cliche." I chuckled as he shrugged. "Let us be cliche. The best cliche couple there is."

I smiled, wiping the tear from my cheek, picking my suitcase off up the floor. Walking towards the door, I grabbed onto the door handle, turning my head. "See you soon."

Stiles smiled down at me before planting a kiss on my forehead. "Stay safe."

Without looking back, I opened the door, walking out down the hallway towards home.

The drive back to Beacon Hills seemed like the longest ride of the universe.  Without Stiles, it was quiet; it was driving me insane. Coming back to Beacon Hills made me excited, but at the same time depressed.

All of my friends were in college, including Scott. I still don't know why they took summer courses. They all think I'm going away as well, but truth is, Beacon Hills still needs me. I decided to stay instead of pursuing college, which only my mom knows. Luckily, she understands.

I pulled up to the high school, not bothering to go home first. Mom was at work. I walked up to the doors, taking a deep breath before entering the halls.
