Wally stared at Deathstroke, thinking of ways to get Dick out of this mess when the mercenary put down the gun. "Tell the bat that he owes me." he said coldly, walking out of the alley before running in the direction of the shouts.

The speedster winced at the sound of the rapid gunshots that followed after Deathstroke's departure. Wally didn't bother trying to figure out why he didn't need to fight for his life just now, instead he picked Dick up and rushed towards safety, away from the voices.

The pain in his side made him fall sooner than he expected, and he braced for the impact, wrapping his arms around his brother and crashing into a pack of wooden crates by an abandoned house. Wally would like to say the crates broke his fall, but the splinters he felt poking into his back told him otherwise. Still, Wally dragged himself into the house, not able to lift himself up to even crawl, he knew he had to wait till either Roy or Bruce got here. Dick's life depended on it, once they got here, everything would be fine. It was only these thoughts that kept him going, his vision was swimming, his body was aching, but Dick needed him. His brother needed him, so he couldn't pass out.

"C'mon Dickie,"

In the wet and leaky house, the series of movements never stop going. Five compressions to one breath. At first, Wally was against doing it, seeing that mouth to mouth consisted of mouth to mouth but even though he had loosened Dick's collar and checked his pulse a million times, Dick's heart had stopped and he wasn't breathing.

Wally knew that five minutes of oxygen deprivation was brain death so there wasn't any hesitation, but still, every time his lips pressed against Dick's and though it was separated by an handkerchief he happened to have, he couldn't help but blush. "This is for Dick." he would say to himself every time, but looking at the parted lips in front of him, he couldn't help but feel hot. He would look away only to look back and start over again, a trickle of sweat dripping down his face as he stared at Dick's pretty face only to slap himself for thinking that.

{Ahhhhhh! You all can have this break to scream.}

"Get it together," he grabbed at his hair, staring at the unconscious boy in front of him. Wally had long forgotten about his pain, dedicating himself to each careful yet firm presses against Dick's chest. He tried not to think about how he could feel Dick's chest through his light layered shirt. Instead, Wally took a breath and forced his gaze off Dick and stared at anywhere but in front of him.

In a breeze he had passed through five beats and his red, flustered face hovered over Dick's pale one. His gaze fell on the boy's lips and he almost wanted to throw himself away. This is for the greater good. He repeated that in his mind every single time and yet, he couldn't help but think of something else. His lips are so soft...And cold. Wally frowned. But who knew that at this moment he would be looking into bright blue eyes.

It could be said that Wally's prayers had been answered, for Dick to wake up was the greatest blessing he felt he could have received. But the relief plus the shock froze him in place, and it was only several minutes later that he realized that he and Dick were still locking lips. Wally didn't move, his brain was still processing thoughts along the lines of Batman is going to kill me and I just kissed Dick!

Meanwhile, as Wally's brain was malfunctioning, a confused Dick sat up, gently pushing the frozen speedster away only to find that he couldn't make himself move. You might say it was as though someone was pulling thee strings behind the scenes, but due to Wally not moving and Dick's current lack of control, the bird was sent falling in Wally's direction and into his arms. This was a perfect coincidence and it happened in such a manner that the sick bird's lips brushed against the wide-eyed speedster's before he fell into his chest.

To say Wally's mind exploded was an understatement. What was he going to do now?!
