How I became Savannah Solo Part 8

Friday & Saturday March 3rd & 4th

I woke up at 7:30 and ate breakfast. I started season two of the Vampire Diaries. Lydia made me lunch at 12 and as I was finishing my food I heard someone pull up. They walked up and I saw it was Garvin. She came in and sat next to me on the couch.

Garvin: well is see your phone is working
Me: uh yeah
Garvin: don't shut me out, I want to be there for you
Me: I know, I'm trying. I just feel useless
Garvin: Savannah you are not useless you just need a little help and that's okay
Me: I don't want help
Garvin: is that why you're avoiding school?
Me: I don't want everyone's pity
Garvin: Savannah,
Me: and what can I do at school? I can barely get around, I can't write and I don't want to be there
Garvin: I know, it's going to be hard but it's something you have to do
Me: I know and I will but not now
Garvin: that's okay just don't shut me out
Me: I'm not trying too
Garvin: I know, If you need anyone or want to go somewhere or need someone here call me.
Me: I will
Garvin: good well I should go get the boys
Me: tell them I said hey
Garvin: I will, bye Savannah
Me: bye and thank you Jayme
Garvin: of course

I resumed my episode and a couple more later I had to go the bathroom and got on my scooter. As I started I had an idea and called Duke over. While I could steer with my right it went to the left since I couldn't get keep it straight. Duke was tall enough that he could reach the handle to help steer. It was rough but the more we practiced the easier it got. I went back to my show and then Lydia made dinner at 7. I sat with her and ate.

Lydia: are you okay here, by yourself?
Me: yeah, I'm fine. I kind of like it
Lydia: are you sure?
Me: yes, and plus Maria comes on Mondays and Thursdays to clean and do laundry
Lydia: I know, I'm just making sure you're not lonely
Me: I'm not, I have Duke and Jayme came earlier
Lydia: good, well when is your father coming home?
Me: the 9th and Hope will be here late Tuesday slash early Wednesday
Lydia: alright, I'll go shopping on Tuesday morning
Me: thank you, goodnight Lydia.
Lydia: goodnight Savannah

I took my medication and watched a couple episodes until I fell asleep. 

SATURDAY

I woke up at 8 and Lydia made me breakfast. I ate and then watched the Vampire Diaries. At 10 I got a call from Hope.

Me: hey Hope
Hope: hey how's your weight?
Me: I'm 105 with my casts but I think I'm at 102. I'll have to ask them to weigh me when I switch casts
Hope: alright, what are you up too
Me: watching the Vampire Diaries, what are you guys doing?
Hope: we have film at 11 and then a small lunch before we leave
Me: tell everyone I said good luck
Hope: I will bye Baby Horse
Me: bye Hope

I hung up and pressed play. I played fetch with Duke and watched a couple episodes before I decided to text Sarah.

Me: hey are you free for an hour or two?
Sarah: is 12:30 to 2 okay?
Me: yeah, also can you bring cast covers?
Sarah: sure, see you then
Me: thanks

Lydia started lunch and Sarah was right on time. We ate and talked.

Sarah: how are you doing?
Me: I'm okay, I actually was hoping you could help me shower, it's been a couple days
Sarah: of course, Savannah don't hesitate to ask anything alright
Me: thank you

After we ate Sarah helped me take a real shower and then get into clean clothes. Sarah got paged so she had to go. I watched my show until the game at 5. The gals were playing England. Ashlyn was in goal with a 3 back, 5 in the middle and then 2 up top. The girls stayed 0-0 at half.

The girls were struggling and the second half was the same. I thought there was going to be overtime but in the 89th minute England scored and won the game. I ate dinner and then decided to take my medicine and just go to bed.
