How I became Savannah Solo Part 8

Wednesday May 10th

Hope woke up at 7 and then woke me up.

Me: mm
Hope: come on let's go eat
Me: what time is it?
Hope: 7:15
Me: what is wrong with you
Hope: when do you normally get up?
Me: like 8:30
Hope: it's only an hour now come on
Me: oh my god

Hope helped me down and we went to eat.

Hope: so how have your days been?
Me: a couple bad but manageable
Hope: that's good
Me: yeah
Hope: well, have you talked your sister?
Me: yeah and she can't make it
Hope: oh, I'm sorry SB
Me: it's whatever
Hope: it's obviously not
Me: it doesn't matter. I'm going to go work on my speech
Hope: alright

I went to my room and worked on my speech until Hope came to get me for lunch. We ate and then talked for a bit.

Hope: are you going to the baseball games in Sulphur
Me: yeah Garvin is going to take me with them
Hope: oh good
Me: well will you help me into my bathing suit so I can tan?
Hope: yeah, I'll even join you

Hope and I changed and then Hope carried me out.

Hope: where's the sunscreen?
Me: ugh over there on the table

Hope put sunscreen on me and then on herself. Hope put the towels down and then we both laid down. I put on some music and Hope and I laid out for a couple hours. Brad came over at 6 for dinner.

Brad: I was wondering where you two were
Me: hey how was baseball?
Brad: good but I'm sore
Me: well let's eat and then you can shower and ice
Brad: okay
Me: well who wants to carry me
Hope: I got you

Hope picked me up and the 3 of us went in. We all ate and then Hope and I showered in my bathroom while Brad showered in the guest bathroom. We got dressed and then put in a movie while Brad iced.

Brad: well I better go, it's late
Me: alright bye babe, will I see you before we go to graduation?
Brad: yes, my parents are doing lunch with us since they can't do dinner
Me: alright well I will see you then
Brad: bye I love you
Me: bye I love you too

Brad left and Hope and I got ready for bed.

Hope: are you excited for tomorrow?
Me: yeah kind of
Hope: come on talk to me
Me: well I'm not done with my speech
Hope: you can in the morning
Me: I know
Hope: then what? Tell me
Me: I don't know if my dad is going to make it, I mean my sister isn't coming and obviously my mom isn't
Hope: SB
Me: it's like they don't care anymore and I'm just stuck in school and they're off on their own with their own life, too busy to think about me
Hope: you know that's not true
Me: but isn't it? They would be here
Hope: there's still time
Me: I guess
Hope: well get some sleep
Me: good night mama
Hope: good night SB
