POWER {Levi x Reader} REWRITING

Chapter 8

We all sat on our horses. Isabel was next to Levi, Farlan was next to me.

"We will now begin the 23rd Expedition Beyond the Walls!" I heard a man yell from behind us. "Forward, everyone!" he shouted as he raised his arm into the air.

We all whipped our horses rein as they neighed and ran forward.

My first time outside the walls..if I went back into the past and told myself this would happen, I would never believe it..A sudden thought sprang into my mind. Where are my parents?

As we passed the gates I immediately focused my gaze up at the blazing sky.

"Wow!" Isabel said.

"It's so beautiful...." I looked at the birds flying above my head and smiled at the sight.

"Hey!"

I flinched at the sudden shout and focused my attention on the noise. It came from behind me.

An older man with a raspy black beard yelled at you, "We aren't out here to sightsee! Don't lose your focus!  A titan could be lurking around any corner. Are you trying to be dinner tonight?" he frowned.

"N-no sir! I'm sorry, sir!" I slightly bowed my head towards him and re-focused my attention towards the plain field in front of me. Levi was slightly ahead of me. His jet-black hair whipped around from the wind.

I wonder what facial expression he's making...well, this isn't his first time out here, so I guess he isn't as astounded by the sight as Farlan, Isabel and I are.

"TITAN SIGHTED!" someone yelled.

I could not see it as first, but I felt the ground beneath the horse begin to rumble, and I heard loud booms echoing in the background.

"One 15-metre class right ahead!" Someone pointed in the direction of the titan. I lifted my head to try to see it, and I spotted it.

"Holy shit...."I whispered to myself.

That's a titan!?

It was a fat titan with black hair and a slight grin on it's face.

I heard more booms but this time, I felt it from behind. I turned my head and saw two titans.

"Oh my god! L-Levi! Look!" I shouted at Levi to get his attention and he turned his face towards me. His eyes widened as he saw the two titans behind me, Farlan and Isabel.

"Two 10-metre class titans coming from behind!" again someone shouted.

I began to pant. I was terrified. My first encounter with a titan. Not even a titan, titans!

"They're too close for us to try to slip away. We have to kill them." I had no idea what these peoples names were, and I didn't care. "Equip your Maneuver Gear now!"

Everyone did as commanded as they zipped into the air.

I heard Erwin say to a blonde man, whom I recognized, my squad leader, "Flagon, shoot your flare."

He did as told and Erwin continued, "Commander, let's tighten the formation. I feel as if it's going to rain.

I glided through the air towards the titan that was running towards us as a couple of other people took out the two in the back.

Please don't eat me, please don't eat me, please don't eat me!

I gripped onto it's nape and tried to slice it with my blade, but missed. The titan took  me into it's grip and opened it's mouth as it began to bring me close.

No..no...no no!

"Help! Someone please! Help me!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I could feel the titans hot breath on my body as I stared at the face of death.

I closed my eyes.

"(Y/N)!" I could hear Farlan shouting in the distance.

Second Person Pov

Levi immediately saw you in the titans grips. He rushed over towards the titan and quickly sliced it's nape as it began to fall to the ground with smoke rising from it. You fell towards the hard ground, but someone caught you in time.

Your eyes opened to the sight of Farlan. He had caught you. Saved you from your graciousless doom.

"Are you okay, (Y/N)!?" Farlan began to tear up at the thought of you getting devoured by a titan.

"Agh...yeah..." You replied as he cautiously set you back down on the ground. Levi zipped back over to you and Farlan.

He landed on the ground just a couple from you as he frowned. He walked over towards you and gripped you by the collar, tightly.

"You fucking idiot! Why did you do that!? You could've died!" he shouted at you with anger in his eyes.

"I'm sorry L-levi!" you stuttered. "I just wanted to be useful to the team! I thought I could do it!" your eyes began to tear up at Levi shouting at you. You hated being shouted at.

"You and your dumb-ass thinking almost got you killed." he pushed you back onto the dirty ground and tched. He gave you one last hard glare as he walked away, with Isabel following after him.

"Levi-aniki! Wait up!" she cried and waved her arms.

You felt completely useless. Like a failure. You also felt embarrassed. This was what...the 4th time Levi and Farlan had saved you?

You sighed as Farlan gripped your arm as support. You stood up and gave a look at Levi as he walked away from you.

"It's okay, (Y/N), don't beat yourself up about it." Farlan whispered so Levi wouldn't hear as he pulled you into a hug.

"T-t-thank you...Farlan." you hugged him back as tears began to fall down your cheeks.

"I don't know what I would've done...if you died..at the hands of a titan.."Farlan snuggled his head into your neck as he whispered those words into your ears.

It sent shivers down your spine as you thought...
