Levi was set off commission for the time being. His foot would take a while to heal, so he was going to be sidelined for quite some time. He would often be seen either in the Training Grounds, the Mess Hall, or simply in his office catching up on files and paperwork.
He took off his Survey Corps uniform and would walk around constantly in this strange suit with the coat hanging off his right shoulder. I asked if it was his because usually whenever he wasn't in uniform, he would just simply wear his favorite white button down shirt and cargo pants. He replied with a, "I found it and I took it."I lay down on the black couch that sat in Levi's office. It was the most comfortable object in all honestly, the way I sunk deep into its cushiony foam. Levi remained focused on his paperwork, scribbling down words and reading, and then scribbling down more words, often taking breaks to rub his eyes or mess with his hair.
"I never told you what happened to me, did I?" I ask, closing my eyes and resting my arms behind my head as a pillow.
"No," he replies calmly.
I go on to tell him about the odd situation about the Titan not eating me. In fact, protecting me from the other titans.
"You're seeing too far into it." He says, not even bothering to take a glance at me, but only keeping his dark blue eyes glued onto the pink worksheet scribbled on with perfect cursive writing.
"How am I? That Titan was being stepped all over but it didn't even drop me! In fact, it pushed all the others away from us and then set me on top of a tree. It even..touched my hair! Levi, the Titan spoke!" I elevate my voice which grabs his attention immediately. He drops his paperwork and takes a stern look in my direction.
"You're insane. Our squadmates have died and you're more concerned about a Titan not eating you. It probably didn't eat you because of how annoying and unattractive you are," he says and looks back at the paperwork, continuing to read and scribble down.
That hurt.
Not him calling me ugly and annoying,
But the death of my mates.
They weren't even allowed to have a proper funeral because their corpses were left in the forest for the titans, and Petra was voluntarily given to a titan.
"Why don't you believe me? I'm telling the truth!" I whine and stand from the couch. I stroll in over to Levi's desk and flick his head from behind.
"Because it's a ridiculous thing to believe, a Titan not eating a human. That's their first nature. That's like telling me to believe a fat man comes to town every year on my birthday passing out gifts. And don't touch me." He says, covering where I flicked with his hand.
"I bet Hanji would believe me.." I whisper quietly.
Having enough of Levi's attitude for today, I take my leave from his office without even saying bye.
Samuel
Levi's injury..he's going to be out of the picture for a while, isn't he? This is perfect! At first, I thought it would be kind of difficult even getting close to Levi, but it seems the cards are in my grasps.I stand next to a corner, observing (Y/N) come out from his office. When she's long gone, I make my way around the corner to Levi's office. I knock three times the same way (Y/N) does, and I can hear Levi on the opposite side of the door sighing to himself.
"State your name and business," Levi says
"Samuel Bekket. I came to apologize for my behavior," I lean in closer to the door to hear him sighing again. He can't just turn me away. I'm still a member of his squad whether he liked it or not.
