During the next days something changed, Taeil was feeling better and better, he had convinced Vanessa to tell his friends to bring him books, so Mark came in the afternoon giving him details about homework and the newest school gossip. He was complaining about the upcoming match they didn't have a seeker, but Taeil was way not fit enough to help them.
Yuta and Sicheng came after supper bringing him a bag of chocolate frogs and some crazy Bite The Crew board game they had bought from Ten. They wanted to try it out right there so Madame Becky kicked them out. Of course Vanessa was visiting each free minute. She was ready to help Taeil with homework but he refused politely, so she spent the time telling him about her life and friends, also kissing him a lot till Madame Becky caught and told him off again.
Yes things were going kind of ok, and Taeil as grinning to his thoughts after Vanessa had left in the late evening, his head still filled with memories of their sweet long kisses, he really wished to be out of here soon to be able to invite her on a date to Hogsmeade, or on a walk along the grounds in the autumn sun, and even some time alone in an empty classroom or in his common room, or the Shrieking Shack. Yes, he was imaging a lot more than just kisses although he had no idea if he's old enough to try it or if Vanessa is ready to go a step further.
He knew Taeyong had done it with Jaehyun, he had no idea about Yuta and Sicheng, Mark has definitely never tried it. In situations like that he would use some experienced friends like this douchebag from the Slytherin team, Hansol, who had laid down half of the school he definitely had a lot of useful advice, maybe he should jinx him and find it out, or us the Polyjuice potion to become Johnny or Kun for a day and educate himself, wouldn't be a bad idea.
"Taeil," someone coughed causing Taeil to stop grinning to himself.
He turned around to see Renjun who was standing in the middle of the room smiling wide.
Taeil needed a moment to realize the snake tail was gone, Renjun had his legs back. The wings and the kitten tail were still there but the boy was way too happy to care when he was jumping up like a ball.
"Taeil look, it's gone, I can walk normally," he squealed.
"I see, it's amazing," Taeil felt his throat scratching.
It was surely the most amazing news.
"What is going on here? Oh!" Madame Becky fell into the room but stopped abruptly noticing Renjun.
She had tears of joy in her eyes too when she raised her voice just a little to make him go back to bed.
The whole school was on the stadium cheering loud the stands divided between red an yellow. Taeyong was wearing a Gryffindor hat when he followed Vanessa up the benches. She insisted to go with him, as he was the friend of her boyfriend, yes she was really tiring. Taeyong wondered if Taeil was really so happy to spend time wth her, or maybe it was him being gay not being able to understand. He sat down in some distance to her while he looked to the Slytherin stand. All of those supporting Hufflepuff obviously, they would support a dried out plant just to be against Gryffindor. But in the Ravenclaw stand he saw Doyoung waving a huge Hufflepuff flag but he was alone, no Jaehyun, so Taeyong felt better. He glanced at Vanessa, yes she had dated Jaehyun for a while, burning jealousy was opening up in his stomach.
"Were you enjoying your time with this loser Jaehyun?" he asked. "You had been with him for some time."
Vanessa turned to him her face all red.
"It's past ok," she said.
"I just asked a question," hissed Taeyong.
Lately he was terribly unpleasant to people around him, pushing everyone away including Yuta.
"It was ok, not like my time with Taeil of course," her eyes glittered at the last name.
"Wasn't he annoying? I mean he seems annoying," said Taeyong.
"Ah... he was... difficult I think he was keeping secrets from me, he never wanted to talk about his home or parents or his life. When I had asked him what's his biggest dream, he said it's revenge, can you believe it? On who? Don't ask me I have no idea."
The glowing tightness in Taeyong's insides burned harder. Revenge. What revenge could become a lifetime dream? Was it the revenge on him? Yes Jaehyun you had your dream fulfilled, he thought bitterly.
"They're coming!" Vanessa jumped up all happy they don't need to speak anymore when the teams shoot it the air, and Gigi Weasley introduced each player, including Gryffindor's new seeker Herin, yes it was Mark's crazy idea Yuta decided to try out.
The sounds of the match were coming through the windows but Taeil tried his best to not to think about it. He could imagine being in the air, if he could catch the snitch he would have become Gryffindor's hero, yes Vanessa would be very willing to give him more at the after party, but yes, reality was rather sad. He was stuck in the bed for the second week in a row trying to write an essay for history of magic, while his hand reacted with pain each time he moved the pen over the parchment.
"Taeil, can I help?" he heard a sweet voice next to him.
