"Now remember that an adverb is a word or set of words that modifies verbs, adjectives, or other adverbs. Adverbs answer how, when, where, why, or to what extent-how often or how much (e.g., daily, completely)."

She continued to speak as she showed me some sentences on her book. Me? I was busy watching ber mouth open and close as she talks. He small mouth that had me in a trance for a while now.

"Examples;
He speaks slowly (tells how)
He speaks very slowly (the adverb very tells how slowly)
Did you get that?"

"Huh? Sorry..." I said sheepishly.

She pursed her lips and hit me with the book.

"Focus! Exams are just in two weeks! What were you day dreaming about anyway?!"

*You...* my mind answered. "Nothing.. I'm just tired." My mouth said.

"Did you go out again last night? Didnt I told you not to? huh?"

"I had to! The guys came over and practically dragged me last night!" I answered in defense.

"Well you should have tied yourself somewhere in your apartment! You dont even have half a sense to say no didnt you?!"

"I do!"

"Liar!"

"Come on! We have been going on and on about adverbs and adjective for the past hour! I'm tired and hungry. Arent you?"

"I'm! But do you see me complaining? I came here straight from work which happens to be killing me too! If you dont want this anymore fine. I'm leaving! You're so frustrating!"

She started to pack her things, jamming them in her back pack all at once.

"Hey.. hey.. I'm sorry! I'm sorry ok!" I practically yelled.

She looked at me. Pouting.

I can't help but smile. She looks so cute!

"Ow!" I rubbed my arm where she pinched me.

"What are you smiling about?! Are you that happy thay I'm leaving!?"

"What?! Of course not!"

She didnt said anything. I can see she was counting to ten in her head. Trying to calm herself.

"I have a lot of things going on at work Soo Hyun. The least you could do is try to pretend to learn. This is not my exams we're studying for. It's yours. "

"알아 (al-a - I know.) I said.

"What? Say it in english."

I sighed. " I know."

"Now are you going to focus?"

I nod.

She smiled and then sat down and started ti take out her books again.

"You know.. you're scary."

"알아 (al-a - I know)" she said.

I laughed. "What did you say?"

She smiled sheepishly at me.

"Well... you've been studying english and having a hard time at it.. I want to learn korean too so I've been taking lessons."

"Why?"

"So.. If you want to take a break from English. We can converse in Korean.." she said softly.

I had no idea she wanted to give that to me.

"고맙습니다 (gomabseubnida -thank you)" I said.

"천만에요 (cheonman-eyo - you're welcome.)

"Do you.. maybe.. uhmm.."

"What?"

*Breath!* I said to myself.

"Doyouwanttohavedinnerwithme?" I said so fast.

"Sorry? I didnt get that..."

"Do you want to have dinner with me?" I said slowly this time.

She smiled. "Like what?... like a date?"

I nod.

"Sure."

"Really?" My heart was thumping.

"Yeah. I'll have dinner with you.."

"That's great!"

"When you passed your English test."

"What?!"

"What? Are you not confident enough?"

"No fair! What if I dont pass?"

"Well nake sure you do. Ok?" She laughed softly.

"Ok going back... when we say..." she continued to teach me. My head continued to wonder too..
*I have to pass that exam. I have to pass that exam.*
