Walking rather nervously to Dumbledore's office. I walked up to the golden gargoyle, I said the password.
"Lemon drops." You said before the gargoyle started to spin, revealing a spiral staircase leading to his office.
I walked along the step before I came across the door to Dumbledore's office. Knocking on the door, I hear a faint "come in". I walk in closing the wooden door behind before standing in front of Dumbledore.
"Miss L/N, I see that you'd wish to teach her at Hogwarts, am I correct?" He questioned me as he looked over at me with his half-moon like glasses.
"Yes sir, that is correct," I said as a huge smile spread across my face.
"Very well then. I presume you'd like to teach you're favorite subject...DADA isn't?" He asked me, only causing my smile to grow only bigger.
"Yes professor I would love too unless someone else already has the position," I said happily.
"No, no one has the position. But it will be your for now on." He said as a small smile appeared on his lips.
A sequel left my lips as I clapped my hands happily. "Can't wait for tomorrow," I said.
"Your belongings are here with you, correct?" He asked me. I nodded my head with a small smile on my face.
"Alright then, they will be in your personal dormitory close to the classroom." He said before standing up from his chair.
"I'll see you at dinner is," I said as I walked out and made my way to my new room.
As I made my way towards the room, I bumped into a chest pretty hard causing me to fall on my bum.
"Oo," I said before looking up to see someone I never thought I would see again.
"Y/N?" He asked, looking down at me as if I had two heads.
"Severus," I said in a monotone voice.
"Its been so long." He said as he tried to help me up but I denied and brought myself up.
"I believe so," I said trying to hold back the tears that I've been threatening to leave eyes.
Long story short, I fell in love with my best friend. We lived together after our 7th year, things started to happen where we ended up falling for one another and we were to get married but...he left. Without a note saying why he left, he just left like he wasn't there just the night before.
I cried for months thinking it was my fault and that I was making him uncomfortable. But then I managed to make myself stronger by saying that he's just used me and that u don't need him. And I moved on, partly.
"I am so sorry." Wo,w that's a first.
"You should be! Leaving me in the house we shared without a note or not one single trace as to where you could be!" I said only now realizing tears are slipping out of my eyes, causing me to wipe them away quickly.
"I-" I cut him off not wanting to hear it.
"Listen to me and listen closely. I am going to work here and I do not want you trying to apologize to me I'm tired of you and your presence, so just stay away from me." I said before walking off to the direction to my room, leaving a dumbfounded yet hurt looking, Snape.
I continued to the journey by running to my room as tears leave eyes and a loud sob escapes my lips.
Once I reached my room, I ran to my bed a cried even harder. Sobs filling my room, echoing off the walls only to cause me to cry harder.
"What have I done to deserve this?" I asked before drifting off to a dark sleep.
