"Nice ring." Eddie compliments Iris. She looked down at it and smiled, glancing back to the two of us.
"Its beautiful, isn't it? It's an exact replica of my mom's. Barry got it for me." Barry just smiled back, keeping quiet.
"That's very thoughtful Bar."
It got quiet for a couple of seconds. Everyone was just smiling, looking around the room. So I broke the silence.
"Wait till you see the gift I got for you, Ted!" I shouted happily running next to Eddie. "You're gonna love it." I smirked to myself and I threw my arm around his shoulder. At first he stiffened, then noticed my smirk and frowned.
"Oh god, what did you do?"
"You'll see." I said, giving Iris a wink. She laughed at me while Barry just sat there and watched me interact with Eddie. His eyes watching my every movement carefully.
"Have you ever handled a cobra before?" I said in a joking way to mess with him. He froze for a seconds then laughed, realizing I was joking.
It got quiet again. This time I didn't know what to say to break the silence. I never realized what an awkward bunch we were all together in the same room. I let my arm slide off Eddie and I rocked back and forth on my feet.
I thought about talking to Eddie something work related. But nobody else would get what we were talking about, and it would leave the other two hanging. So I decided not to.
"So are we tree trimming?" Eddie finally spoke. I silently thanked him with a look he understood.
"Yeah!" Iris exclaimed with a clap. "Come on."

"Merry Christmas!" I shouted happily, walking into S.T.A.R labs, while standing next to Barry. The two of us began giving gifts to everyone. I loved Christmas. It's my favorite time of the year. Besides my birthday of course.
"Just a small token of my gratitude-" Barry said as Dr. Wells 'Aw'd'. "-for everything you guys have done for me this year."
"For us." I added, slinging my arms around Barry's. He smiled down at me, considering our height difference. I got Cisco a couple of Star Wars shirts, Dr. Wells a Big Belly Burger gift card, and Caitlin a leather jacket. To spice up her wardrobe a bit. I feel like she'll scold me for that later. But oh well.
"I think on behalf of my colleagues when I say you guys have been a gift for us this year." Dr. Wells said as he studied the gifts he got in his hands.
I noticed Cisco raising his eyebrows at me. I faced him a confused look. Then realized what I was doing. I let go of Barry's arm and turned away to hide my red dusted cheeks.
"What's that?" Caitlin asked Barry who brought out something.
"This is compliments of Iris--Grandma Esther's famous egg nog." A big dorky smile spread across Barry's face.
"That's what I'm talking about." Cisco said, then walked away to put down his gifts. I lightly laughed at this and leaned against my desk.
"Maybe later for me." Dr. Wells said as he rolled away. "Wouldn't want to drink and drive."
I frowned now as he left the room. "Did I say something wrong?" Barry pointed to himself, whispering.
"No," Cait answered in a quiet tone.
"No man," Cisco said, entering the room again, "He um--this used to be his favorite time of the year. But the accident happened before Christmas so-" I put the pieces together in my head and my frown deepened, "-it kind if ruined the holidays."
