"Hey Ted!"

"Hey!" He matched my warm tone. "What's up?"

"Nothing much, you?" I respond back as I continue down the block with my phone pressed against my ear.

"Eh, the usual. Busy."

"By busy I hope you mean lying down on your couch with a stack of papers you're procrastinating to look at."

"How'd you know?"

I giggled and he chuckled with me, "So what brings me the pleasure of this call? Or do you not need something?"

I gasp dramatically, "I don't only call you when I need you for something!"

He hummed, "I'm not buying it." His tone was flat. I laughed again.

"Well, I actually do need something-" I ignored his humming, "and you're the first guy I thought of!" I said in all honesty.

"Oh yeah, and what is it that you need?"

"So...long story short--Barry and I went to The Olive Garden not too long ago and we had some pretty good wine there. But we're convinced it was drugged. Wanna tag along?" Since Barry won't.

"Sure..." he dragged out the word, still processing my explanation. I smiled at his answer though, then I realized I was finally at his front steps.

"When?"

"Now." I said before ringing his doorbell.

"Wait, what the hell?" Eddie said as I repeated my long-story-short explanation. "What makes you think it was drugged?" He said as he kept his eyes on the road and his hands on the wheel, every ten seconds he'd glance at me.

"Don't worry about it." I smiled innocently at him, but just those few words didn't sound so innocent, like they had a meaning behind them--and they do.

He scoffed at my response, "Why isn't Barry here?"

I rolled my eyes, frowning, "Movie night with Joe, I guess."

Eddie glances at me again, "Why do you say it like that?"

"Don't worry about it."

He glared at me, and I gave in immediately.

"Because I--" I paused, debating whether or not to rant my tragic love life to Eddie, "I feel like he's been ignoring me." I don't make eye contact with Eddie, instead I look out the window and replay every memory from the past 24 hours that prove Barry's ignoring me.

"What makes you think that?"

I sigh before going on, "He won't look at me, he'll barely talk to me, and when he did this morning--he seemed shady as hell. Maybe even salty, and he and I planned to figure out what happened--" I caught myself, changing what I was about to say, "what happened at The Olive Garden together, but then he completely blew me off like I'm nothing." I groan, looking over to Eddie.
