Chapter 24

A/N: Two chapters today! I'm so happy I found this cafe. Now I'll be able to upload.

"He hasn't come out and it's already been five minutes." I said.

"Any second now." Louis said.

"What if he really did get possessed?" I asked.

"Think positive thoughts." Hailey said.

Soon I heard foot steps coming towards us. Not from the kitchen, but from somewhere else. I instantly turned around and let out a sneeze when I took in the scent. I staggered back.

"Look what I found." Harry said holding out his hands. Inside we found a newborn kitten.

"Where did you get the from?" Hailey asked petting it.

"Wait. Weren't you in the kitchen? How did you come behind us?" I asked. "Are you possessed?"

"No I'm not. I just kind of followed the kitten and there are two doors that lead to it." Harry said petting the kitten.

"How is there even a kitten here?" Louis asked.

"Since it's a little older than a newborn. It's mum gave birth to it and left or died." Harry said. His eyes became a softer green.

"I have a feeling, you have a soft spot to cats." I said.

"Oh no!" he exclaimed.

"What happened?" Hailey asked.

"I hope my mum didn't forget to feed Dusty." he said.

"I'm sure she didn't forget, lad." Louis said.

"Can we leave now?" I asked.

"Your still creeped out about this place?" Hailey asked.

"Yes. Did you guys suddenly forget about all of that banging and scraping?"

"No we didn't." Louis said.

"We know what caused it." Hailey said.

"This cat did. I found it in the kitchen scraping on the wooden door. Plus there were plates on the floor." Harry said.

"So this place really isn't haunted." I said letting out a deep sigh of relief.

"Yeah. So I think we should get some sleep now." Louis said stretching.

"That's a good idea, but where?" I asked.

"Let's go check out the rooms." Hailey said.

"By the way, how was the kitchen?" I asked.

"It was nothing. No sink, fridge, or stove." Harry said.

"Oh ok." I said walking behind Louis to a room. Hailey and Harry went to other rooms while I stayed with Louis.

"You really shouldn't be scared." Louis said.

"Is it a problem that I stick close to you?" I asked.

"Not really, but why me?" Louis asked.

"Why you? I choose you because I can't cling on my best friend's boyfriend. Think." I said.

"Yeah, but what about Hailey?" he asked raising his eyebrows.

"I didn't think about that. Well since you hate me so much, I'll leave you alone." I said turning around.

"I never said I hated you." he said.

"You were thinking about it." I said.

"How would you know?" he asked taking my hand and leading us into a different room. I pulled away once we got there.
