Madi's POV

Cheryl and Toni dropped us off at school today. They really have never dropped us off together so people were really confused.
"I didn't know you had two moms," A guy named Chad said to Alex and me
"Thats because you're an asshole that i don't talk to," I say grabbing my book
He walks away fairly quickly
"This is why no one like you Mads," Alex says
"Ya well, none of these people have to like me,"
She rolls her eyes and we walk into the classroom.
"Hello Ladies I'm Mrs. Smythe,"
"Oh we met you yesterday remember? You are the psychopath that my uncles had to escort you off the property with switchblades," I say sweetly
"Your the Topaz Blossom girls,"
"Wow you have short term memory loss,"
We sit down and start class.
"I'm Mrs. Smythe I came here from Florida and have been teaching for 3 years. I used to live in Riverdale before an... issue mad eme leave,"
"Right the issue was you stalking and drugging my mother," I yell from the back of the class
"Mads shut up," Alex whispers
"PLEASE refrain from talking until you raise your hand and I pick you." SHe says back
I just laugh. SHe keeps talking until she hands out worksheets.
"Madisyn can I talk to you in the hall?" She asks
"Lets go Alex, I'm not going alone," I say getting up
Alex gets up behind me and starts walking
"Only Madisyn, Alexandra sit down," She snaps
"Not happening, I'm not going anywhere with you alone,"
She rolls her eyes and lets us into the hall.
"What do you want?"
"Well I want you to be more respectful in class," She says
"Ya you're hilarious," I say
"I'm your teacher you have to listen to me," She says through gritted teeth "Or I'll call your parents,"
"Ya well, your a psychopath obsessed with my mom, and my other mom would rather you go back to hell so I don't think my parents will care,"
"Just stay in line,"
I roll my eyes and laugh walking into the classroom.
"Is that a gang logo on your jacket?" She asks
"Nope its my moms bookclub," I say sarcastically
"Take it off,"
"Nah," I say sitting down
We get through the class until we have lunch. This girl I've never seen before comes up to me while I'm eating.
"Hi I'm Jaycee Smith I just transferred from RCPS,"
"Hi I'm Madi Topaz Blossom,"
"And I'm Alex Topaz Blossom,"
She just turns and walks away after that.
"She's a freak," I say going back to eating
We see Jaycee talking to 3 girls around Kait's age in the hall until its time for recess.
"Lets go see KT, Tay, and Tate" Alex suggests
The two have had a tough time fitting in and Tate was like their only friend.
"Ok sounds good,"
We walk around for a while and can't find Kait.
"Maybe they're still inside?" Alex says
"Ya lets go look,"
Just as we go to go inside I here Tayleighs voice from around the corner that no ones aloud to pass because there isn't any teachers. I turn around the corner with Alex right on my heels.
"Whats going on here?" I ask
I see Jaycee, and 3 younger girls surronding Kait, Tay, and Tate.
"Jaycee get the hell away from my sisters," I threaten
Kait has a black eye and Tayleigh is bleeding from a large gash on her arm but those are the only injuries I see.
"OMG Tay are you ok?" Alex says concerned
Alex tries to get past the 4 girls but Jaycee just turns and points a switchblade at her.
"Don't fucking move," She threatens
"Drop the knife psycho," I say putting Alex behind me
Jaycee clumsily tries to cut my arm. I take this as an opportunity since shes so off balance and punch her square in the face dodging her knife by centimetres.
"Names," I say to the three little girls
"I'm Claire Clayton, thats Elliot Muggs and CeeJay Brown," The tallest girl says shyly
"If you ever go near my sisters or Tate again, I will personally end you,"
And with that those three run away leaving Jaycee, who is still dazed on the ground.
"Are you three ok?" I ask bending down to their eye level.
"Me and Tate are, Tay isn't," Kait says
"I'm fine Taylor," Tayleigh says looking at her arm
"Thats pretty deep Tay,"
"Alex I dont feel well," Kait says collapsing to the ground
She starts seizing and I start panicking. I bring out the new burner phone I got from Toni and dial her number.
"Toni please pick up, come on,"
"Mads?" She asks suspiciously
"Toni, Kait's having a seizure and a psychopath just cut Tayleighs arm and I dont know what to do,"
"Call 9-1-1, Cher and I are on our way, is there teachers with you?"
"No, I dont see any teachers,"
"I'll be there in 2 minutes, just in the car, where are you?"
"Near the south stairway, outside on the pavement,"
"Who's calling 9-1-1?"
"Alex, I gave her the other phone,"
"Ok good,"
I see her and Cheryl speed to us with the boys close behind. I hear sirens in the distance as well so the ambulance is on its way.
"TONI! CHERYL!" Tate yells
"How's Kait?" Toni asks hugging Tate
"Shes just lying down now, I checked shes breathing but I didnt know what to do," Alex says
"Tayleigh what happened to your arm?" CHeryl asks looking at the deep gash
"This girl Madi and Alex's age thought I was Kait and she was screaming at me, then Kait and Tate came over and she punched Kait, and cut me with the knife," Tayleigh explains "Thats when Madi and Alex found us,"
The ambulance gets here and gets Kait and Tay into the back.
"Who's that on the ground?" Cheryl asks
"Jaycee Smith? She had the knife and after cutting Tay she pulled it on Alex," I explain
"She's the one that beat Kait up at Riverdale Central," Toni says to Cheryl "Betty and Jugheads kid,"
The ambulance leaves and Cheryl and Toni stay to talk to us.
"Our new teacher is that person from the weekend by the way... Heather I think you said her name was," Alex says
Cheryl juste shakes her head.
"Is she at least nice to you?"
"She told me I had to watch my attitude in class," I say
"Thats probably fair," Alex says
"What i didnt do anything,"
"You called her a psychopath and a stalker in front of the entire class." A;ex argues
"I was not in front of the entire class! I yelled from the back,"
Toni laughs and Cheryl hits her on the back of the head.
"Ow Cheryl, that hurt," She complains
"You deserved it,"
"She also asked if the serpents were a gang and MAdi turned around and said it was my moms book club,"
"Thats funny," Cheryl says starting to laugh
"Cheryl and Toni Topaz Blossom?" Our principal says from behind us
"Yes thats us," Toni says
"I would like to inform you your daughter Madi has been suspended for 3 days,"
"On what grounds?" Cheryl asks shocked
"Giving a student a black eye," The principal says matter of factually
"That student cut my sisters arm, gave the other a black eye and was trying to stab me," I defend
"Thats not the story I was told, we had a staff member witness it all,"
"Let me guess, Ms. Smythe,"
"Yes how would you-"
"She stalks my wife and tries to ,make my life a living hell, there is a knife on the ground with my younger daughters blood on it and the owner of that knife better be expelled or I will have to handle it," Toni threatens
"Oh ok, let me look into it,"
Toni just scoffs and rolls her eyes as the principal walks away.
"I swear mom, I only hit her because she swung at me with a knife." I defend
"I know kiddo," Toni says
"Can we come with you guys to the hospital?" Alex asks "I dont like our new teacher, she makes me uncomfortable,"
"In what way?" Cheryl asks concerned
"Its been 3 hours in her class and shes never not looking at me and Madi, and i mean staring," Alex explains
"Do you notice it too Mads?" Toni asks concerned
"A little, I mean I don't really pay attention in class so Alex would notice more,"
"Madi you should pay attention in class," Cheryl says disapprovingly
"I just copy Alex's work," i said shrugging
"We will talk about this later, but you have to go to class, if Heather does something creepy, and makes you feel uncomfortable again just leave class, dont ask For permission or anything just leave, ok?" Cheryl says
"Sounds good," I reply
We walk back to class and begin the rest of a hellish day.

Toni's POV

"Mrs. Topaz may i speak to you?" I hear from behind me
"Heather what do you want? Cher and I need to get to the hospital,"I say rolling my eyes "Oh and by the way its Topaz Blossom,"
"I think you and Ms. Blossom should look into getting Madi some help, she's disruptive in class and doesn't trust anyone, she doesn't have a lot of friends at this school," She starts
"Stop right there, I know all of this. Madi has been through hell and back and that's just the way she is. She goes to a therapist once a week and she talks to Cher and I all the time about this. She liked her last teacher so she wasn't disruptive in class. She doesnt have friend because like me- she doesnt like people," I explain "So back off my family,"
"Hey babe, we need to get to the hospital," Cher says grabbing my hand
"Yep," i walk away from Heather and just hope to god that both twins are ok
