Movie Night

Toni's POV
Cheryl wakes up with a headache- I'm shocked!
"Babe where's the Advil?" She asks
"I'll get it," I say getting up
"You shouldn't have let me drink so much,"
"I said water, and what do you always say?"
"Let's do shots of water?" She asks
"Always, just like prom night and just like the night I was named serpent queen. I think this was my favourite though, 'Madisyn tell your Mother I'm doing shots of water,' as I'm standing across from you and you are pouring tequila into shot glasses,"
"Everything hurts,"
"But its a good hurt right? I mean at least it's not chemo,"
"True," She says "never again,"
I kiss her and she smiles.
"Momma?" TJ says coming in
"Hey baby boy," I say leaning against the headboard "you can come in,"
"Hey sweetheart," Cheryl says "can you give mommy a hug?"
He crawls on the bed and hugs her tight.
"Are you sick?" He asks
"Just a headache,"
"Where's your brother?" I ask
"Oh ya, he fell and hit his head,"
"Where?"
"The kitchen," he says
We run downstairs and the girls are helping Owen.
"Hey is he ok?" Cher asks
"He's Fine, not even a concussion it looks like. Just a little cut," madi says putting a bandage on his forehead
"Hey baby boy," I say kneeling down "how are you feeling?"
"I'm ok Mommy," he says "Madi and Alex helped,"
"Thank you girls," Cheryl says
"No problem," Alex says
"Why don't we all watch a movie tonight?" I suggest
"Sounds good," All the girls say
"Can we have popcorn?" TJ asks
"Or ice cream?" Owen asks
"How about both?" I say moving his long hair out from the front of his eyes
"Really?"
"Mhm," I say picking him up "but you little man need a haircut,"
"I told you Alex," he says
"Alex?" I ask
"I said he should grow it out,"
"No," Cheryl says
"How about tomorrow Owen?" I say
"Yay!"
"Do I get a haircut too momma?" TJ asks Cher
"Yes you do," She says
"Can we get the same haircut?" Owen asks
"If you want," I laugh
"Yay!" They both say
The boys go to get their PJs on and so do the girls. Cheryl starts making popcorn and I hug her from behind. I kiss her ear and down her neck.
"Toniiiiii," she laughs "stop itttt,"
"Cherylllll," I mock kissing her neck again
She giggles
"You're so so so hot," I say
"Toni stop groping cheryl, I eat off that counter," madi says
"Madi fight me," I sigh turning around
"Would do," she says "but there are laws against you hitting me so it wouldn't be fair,"
"Those laws don't apply to you if you call me toni," I say
"I only call you Toni because when I'm referring to both of you in one sentence you both get confused,"
"I mean that is a fair point," Cheryl says
"The boys figure it out just fine,"
"You're mommy and Cheryl's is momma. It's not that hard, but I'm almost 18. And sorry Cheryl but I'm not saying momma," she says
"Another very fair point," Cher says
"Lets watch a movie," I say
We sit down after getting the boys ice cream. TJ cuddles with me while Owen with Cheryl, the older girls sat on the couches and the youngsters lay in the floor. After a long argument, we agree on Frozen,
"We always watch kids movies," madi complains
"Your brothers are 5 years old,"
"5 and a half Mommy," TJ says
"Ya mom they're 5 and a half,"
"So you want them to watch..." I ask
"What about something that doesn't have a talking dog?" Alex asks
"Sven is a reindeer not a puppy dog!" Owen says
"And he doesn't talk! He huffs at kristoff,"
"Ooooo my mistake," she says
"I wanna watch frozen!" TJ says
"Ya So do we," Kate says
"Sorry girls," I say to madi "we're watching frozen,"
They groan and both the boys cheer.
We watch the movie and it's boring as always.
"Alrighty boys, sleepy time," I say
"Momma can you read us a story?" Owen asks
"What about tonight, we read two stories?" She says
They both cheer
"But," she continues "you read to me,"
"Really Momma?" TJ asks
"Ya buddy lets go,"
"Ok!" They both run up the stairs
Cher comes over to my couch and kisses me.
"Come upstairs in 45?" She asks
"Of course baby," I say kissing her again
"Good,"
She goes up the stairs.
"Does anyone have homework?" I ask
They all shake their heads
"Does anyone wanna talk?" I ask
They're all on their phones.
No response.
K got it, cool. I sit up and grab all their phones.
"Mom what the hell?" Madi says "I was talking to Natalie,"
"I was talking to Chad," Alex says
"Well you can talk to them in the morning. Do sibling bonding stuff or something,"
"Like plot to kill you and take our phones back?" Kate asks
"Exactly," I say standing up and walking upstairs
Wow I am getting old.
"Mommy I read the whole book!" Owen says
"Me too mommy,"
Bend down and hug them.
"I'm so proud of you two," I smile "go read to your sisters,"
They run down the stairs with a book each.
"Babe?" I ask
"Hey babe," she says kissing my cheek "what's with the phones?"
"Addiction is dangerous,"
"You're getting old," she laughs
"I know," I laugh
"Mom can I please have my phone back? I was talking to Tate, him and Reggie are coming back to town tomorrow," Kait says
"Fine," I sigh "give these back to your sisters,"
"Thank you," she says
"Soft Topaz,"  Cher says
"Shut up Cher," I laugh
"Mommy shut up is a no no word,"
Jesus Christ if I hear one more thing about a no no word I might smash my head off a wall.
"I'm an adult sweetheart,"
"Momma said that doesn't matter," TJ says
"It doesn't matter, TT, no swearing in front of the kids," she says
"Can you tuck us in to bed?" Owen asks
"Of course baby boy," I laugh picking him up "you coming Cher?"
"Yes," She says picking TJ up
We tuck them into bed and walk back to our room to go to sleep.
