As soon as this mini-story comes to an end I'll go back to publishing one-shots again.

For now, enjoy an overdue chapter of Tainted rose.

This has lemon part in it, though it's not that intense to  be even called a lemon.

If she were the same bratty child back then, her maids would've pulled her out of her by her limbs and prepared her for the day. But she was different from the person who left the academy, she's now the Commander in control of thousands of lives.

"[Y/n]-sama, the train will be departing soon," her assistant, Kuroko Tetsuya said. "Please get on."

Her eyes scanned the area one last time, trying to see through the fog in search for civilians. She turned her back and as she was about to set foot on the train, she could make out an outline of a man. His trench coat became clear as he got nearer. Just as Kuroko withdrew his sword before her she recognized the person before her.

With a timid nature like Kagami's, it was impossible for someone like him to ever have a cocky smirk on. But here he was right before in a trench coat and his luggage in tow. She didn't want him to see the astonished look, so she closed her agape mouth and turned away.

"Take me with you." He declared, grabbing hold of the blade and lowering it. He came near and took her hand in his. The scent of flowers evaded him went he brought her hand to kiss it. "It's simple. You just have to make me yours, [Y/N]."

Kuroko pulled out his gun in place for his sword, pointing it at Kagami's head. "He's no threat, Tetsuya-san."

She looked at Kagami, pulling her hand out of his grasp. "You should know that your life will be on the line if you tag along."

"If it's with you then I don't mind."

She set foot in the train and without looking at him said, "We've wasted time, we should go before the sun rises."

-6 MONTHS LATER-

She only gave a curt to the young cadet who stared at her with admiration evident in their faces. Some even had mouths hanging open that saliva nearly dripped down their chins. It was a rare sight to see the Commander making rounds in broad daylight.

"I wanna be like her." She knew it was the sword they were all after and the power they were granted that made them say that.

Most of them if not all of them ignored Kagmi confidently following her in the trench coat that hid all his scars. It wasn't only the fact that he came from the enemy's country, but everything that he did that was supposed to be for the other officers made them hate even more.

"I wanna be like him." His ears perked up at the unusual compliment that came from a cadet.

"Him?" Another kid questioned in a tone he's grown used to. "He's-" Kagami stared at the kid, anticipating what he was about to say only to see them running away out of fear.

[Y/N] sighed out of concern. Her love for Kagami will never drive away their blatant stares and snide remarks away. "You're dismissed, Taiga." Her soothing voice caught all of the patient's attention in the makeshift hospital she entered. "I need to go talk to someone."

"[Y/n]-sama you shouldn't be here, you'll get dirty." Said one of the nurses.

"My hands are already stained with blood. I'd watch your words if I were you." She glared at the nurse and shook her head. 'How can she talk like that about them, they're all Humans not animals.'
