When he came home from an almost twelve-hour-shift and dealing with annoying parents when they thought they knew more than the person who spent a quarter of lives at medical school. Truly the bane of his existence. Medical school teaches you to be a better liaison between life and death, but not how to tolerate the people related to the patient.

He didn't expect to find his girlfriend staring wide-eyed at him with an innocent expression on her face. Contrary to the fact that she was barely dressed in anything in the middle of his apartment.

Wearing his simple house shirt.

It's what triggered him.

And he unexpectedly found himself using her to relieve his stress.

She was laying atop his body. Head on his chest. Naked.

His bandaged fingers were buried in a sea of soft hair, the other resting on her thigh. He was still dressed in his work clothes. Barely. His white button-up was open. One of the sleeves on his blazer hung off the edge of his couch. And his prim and proper self didn't bother to zip up his pants.

"Bad day?"

"There's a strict line between my work life and private life and I'd like to keep it that way, nanodayo."

Maybe he really meant it.

Or maybe because she was far younger than him by almost a decade. It really bothered her that much.

'No, I should trust him.'

"Why did you come here? And my old shirt, too."

"Is it wrong to visit my boyfriend?" She retorted and without a care for being naked rose up, straddling him. "A car splashed me while I walked here."

"Walked?" He questioned with an eyebrow raised. "It's dangerous to walk at night. You should've called-"

"Shintaro," she shunned him with a peck on his forehead. "I wanted to cook you dinner, but now I can't feel my torso."

Silently, he stretched his arm down on the floor for her- his shirt. "Hey that's the . . ." she trailed off as he thrust the white shirt toward her. The orange-black stripped tie she saved up for their first monthsary. She couldn't but let a grin grow across on her face. "I should go home, Sh-"

The hand resting on her thigh moved up to pull her back down to his body by her waist. "Stay for tonight. I- I'll call a nearby restaurant."

She could say that he was tired. Midorima, always so stern with home-cooked meals and detested convenience store lunches, was ordering now. What a chance in a life that seemed impossible.

"For the meantime, we can bathe-"

"I'LL RUN THE WATER!" She announced, running to the bathroom, the shirt he wanted her to cover up with slipped off her body. She didn't see it all or know of it but he watched her with a smile on his face.

To have someone who loved him and his attitude asked for nothing more than his time. He was thankful for that.

"Right there . . . YES!" She threw her head back in an attempt to look at him. Savouring the moment that her boyfriend wasn't wearing his glasses at all. But the ceiling above was pretty to look at too. The tiles of the bathroom had an engraving of zodiac signs. His hands rubbed her shoulder blades faster. Combined with the steam rising from their hot water, it melted her troubles away. Troubles like waking up early. To your father's expectations. Or submitting an assignment.

"I want to meet your parents. And then when your free, I want you to meet mine."

"What? Why so sudden?"

"I'll keep my reasons to myself until the time comes."

Shrugging her shoulders she looked down on the water, entertained at the size difference between their legs.

"Ne, Shin-chan before you propose to her, meet the parents first and ask for a blessing," Takao said when he approached Midorimam from behind.

Aggravated, he snapped the ring's case shut. "GO BACK TO WORK, NANODAYO!"

"That ring will look nice on [Y/n]-chan!"

Using a roll of hospital bandages he snatched from a nurse, he threw a three-pointer aimed at Takao's head.

He took her by surprise when he took her chin in his grasp and placed a loving kiss on her agape mouth. "Finish when you feel like it, nanodayo."

Fluttered and heart beating fast, she waited until the bathroom's door was slid shut. "Oh my god, Shin." She squealed.
