Trigger Warning: Panic Attack

I feel like I write WAY too much Treebros, so just tell me if you want to request a ship/prompt! I will write them as soon as possible!

HigherThanYourMom: Evan

HigherThanYourMom: Evan?

HigherThanYourMom: Evan? You there? I gotta ask you something

HigherThanYourMom: EVAN!!!!

Evan looked at his phone, his eyes widening when he saw the number of texts that he had missed from Connor.

DefinitelyAnAcorn: Connor? I'm so sorry I missed your texts! Is anything wrong? Where are you? Are you hurt? Sick? Is Zoe okay?

HigherThanYourMom: Yo, chillllllllll. I'm okay. Everything's fine. I'm just asking you if you wanna do an escape room today. We can just meet after school in the theater building if that's okay with you. I was just bored, and I've never done one before.

(AN: ESCAPE ROOMS ARE SOOOOO MUCH FUN I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DOING ONE!!!)

DefinitelyAnAcorn: Sure! Sorry for the freak out! I'll see you at 3:15 at the theater!

Evan put his phone back in his pocket, sighing dreamily. His long-time had practically asked him on a date, and he couldn't say no to it. I mean, if Connor Murphy asked you to do an escape room with him, you would totally say yes, right?

Connor walked into science class, feeling more confident than he had ever been all day. His science partner, Alana, was texting on her phone, keeping a close eye on the teacher. Connor sat down beside Alana, and got his books and pencil pouch out of his backpack. Connor slumped over his books, staring out into the distance, in a dreamy daze. It had been a few minutes since Alana was snapping at his face. He quickly recoiled, looking up at the teacher. She was at her desk, waiting for everyone to come in the classroom. He made eye contact with Alana.

"Connor? You have been out of it for the past five minutes! What are you doing?" She snaps.

"Says the one texting in class. I thought you were like, honor roll, or something. You literally never text in class, or even bring your phone in the classroom," He argued back.

"For your information, I was texting your sister. What were you daydreaming about? Evan Hansen or something?" Alana asked.

"Actually..." Connor laughed.

"Oh, god. Please don't tell me." She put her face in her hands.

"I asked him if he wanted to go to an escape room." Connor smiled. "And he said yes!"

"Oh my god, you're so gay for him! Why don't ya just, I don't know, ask him out?"

"Says the one who is probably gonna go on a actual date with my sister later tonight. And plus, we are going to be in a room, alone, for an hour..." He smiled.

"Nope! Nope! I do not want this picture!" Alana fake-gagged. "The power of Christ compels you!"

"Dude, that vine is so old! It's not as old as your music taste-"

"Yeah, your mom is old, but you still listen to her, don't you?" Alana smirked. "And plus, the stuff you listen to is awful."

"Excuse me, but a musical adaptation about War and Peace, is not awful, for your information."

"It totally deserved to taken off Broadway."

"EXCUSE YOU?!?! Are we gonna have a problem?" Connor asked.

———-

"Have you been talking to Connor today?" Jared asked Evan.

"No. Why would you think that?" Evan said quickly.

"Okay, well, that's a lie." Jared smirked. "Connor told me that-"

"Okay! Fine, Jared, I did talk to him." Evan checked to make sure they weren't being overheard by anyone. Especially that Jenna Roland girl. If she found out, the whole school would know.

"Aha!" Jared giggled. "I caught you."

"Oh, shut it. It's not like you're not ever obsessing over that Christine girl." Evan gasped when he had realized what he had said. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry, it just kinda came out. I really didn't mean it, it just happened on accident-"

"Cool it, Hansen. I'm fine with it. Sure, a little taken aback, since you're always the 'pure one'," Evan blushed. "Now pay attention, and save the gawking for Connor."

————-

Evan took in all the bright sunshine, walking to the theater building. Spring had come early that year, and Evan was enjoying every second of it.

Connor was trying way too hard not to die in the spring. He didn't expect it to come so early this year, and his allergies got even worse. His medicines weren't working, and he just felt like crud. Connor spotted Evan walking towards him, and his whole mood brightened.

Evan smiled, waving at Connor. Connor grinned. (Okay, But Mike Faist's smile KILLS me) Evan started to run towards Connor, laughing.

"Hey, Connor...How was your last...class?" Evan asked, panting when he had reached Connor. "Jeez, I shouldn't have done what."

"It was good! You?" Connor laughed, as Evan held up his thumb. "Ready to go?"

"Totally!" Evan and Connor walked to Connor's car.

The drive was filled with Connor's playlist, which consisted of Panic! At the Disco songs, My Chemical Romance, Hamilton, Heathers, and In the Heights. Connor and Evan sang along, and impressed each other with the other's singing voice.

"Hey, look! We're here!" Connor signaled to the place; and Evan felt his stomach bubble with excitement.

"I'm so excited!" Evan exclaimed, looking out the window. "I've never done one before. Are they hard to escape?"

"Not that bad."

"What happens if you don't make it in time?" Evan asked.

"You..." Connor paused for dramatic effect. "Die!"

"Yay!" Evan emitted a cheer, making both of them laugh. "Death is, but, the next great adventure."

"C'mon! Let's go!" Connor opened the door.
