Hey, peeps!!!! This oneshot is based off two things: 1. The one episode in the tv show Gilmore Girls (if anyone has seen that show, ITS SO GOOD!) when Lorelei sang "And I Will Always Love You," to her ex-fiancé, Luke. 2: The song "Hopelessly Devoted to You," from the musical Grease.

Also the picture above is the curtain call at Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!!!!!

I sorta feel like that I write too much Dear Evan Hansen content. So pleeeeeaaaaaase request some bmc stuff!!! I know DEH can get a little old after a while, and this is a DEH and bmc oneshot Book So please give me some bmc if you want it!!!!

Enjoy this oneshot!!!!

I suggest listening to the song "Hopelessly Devoted to You," if ya want to make this sadder.

Tw: Pining (if you can see in the title lol)

"No. No way," Rich replied. "I'm not singing."

"C'mon!" Christine said. "One song? For your favorite step-sister/cousin/friend?" (AN: Rich's dads are whizzer and Marvin while Christine's are Mendel and Trina so they're sorta related)

"No!"

"Please?" Christine begged. "I'll buy wings!"

Rich thought about it. He pursed his lips, and sighed. What was the use? Christine would find another way to make him sing. Not that he was afraid to, he just didn't like singing. "You know what? Fine. I'll do it."

"YES!" Christine cheered, pumping her fists in the air. She grabbed Rich by the arms, and shook him. "I'm so proud of you!!!!!!"

"Chrissy, I love you, but sometimes being your brother is a big responsibility." Rich pried her off of him. "And it took a lot of convincing to get me here."

Almost three months ago, Rich's former boyfriend, Jake, had broken up with him. He said that he felt pressured by dating him, and needed to get out of that serious relationship. Rich was torn to pieces about it, and didn't leave the house for almost a week-and-a-half. So, being out in public again with his sister was a big step to getting over Jake.

"I know..." She became quiet. "You deserve him. I know you still love-"

"He doesn't love me back..." Rich grumbled. "He was scared of being in love. That's why he ended what he had!"

"I know." Christine put her hand on his, patting it. "And you know, I'm always here to talk about it. I dated him too, you know..."

"Hmm." He pulled his hand away from Christine, and twisted his fingers under the table. "When is the next song?"

"You're doing it?" Christine's eyes lit up like the Christmas lights in her room.

"Well, I said earlier...?"

"How about next?" Christine offered. Rich glanced around.

"Sure."

"I'll get wings!" Christine said.

It was his turn now. Rich stepped onto the stage, and walked to the center, where a mic was stood. He grabbed the mic.

"Hi, I'm Rich Goranski, and-" he was cut off by feedback. Everyone cringed. "Woah, sorry about that. Uhm, I promised my sister that I'd sing, so here it is, Christine!" A whoop came from the audience. A track began to play.

"YESSSS!" Christine shouted.

"Guess mine is not the first...heart broken..." Rich sang. "My eyes are not the first...to cry. I'm not the first to know, there's just no getting ooooooover you..."

Christine looked ecstatic. He knew she loved this song.

"You know? I'm just a fool, who's willing to sit around and wait for youuuuuu. But baby, can't you see...there's nothing else for me to doooooo."

Rich spotted Jake standing in a corner.

"I'm hopelessly devoted to you...but now!" Rich took a big breath. "There's nooooowhere to hide, since you pushed my love asiiiiiiiiiiide!"

Cheers came from the audience. Rich found Jake's piercing eyes.

"I'm out of my head! Hopelessly devoted to youuuuuuuuuu! Hopelessly devoted to youuuuuu....oooooooooh. Hopelessly devoted to you."

Rich felt his breath shaky.

"My head is saying, 'Fool! Forget him'" He riffed on the 'him,' earning some cheers. "My heart is saying, 'Don't let goooooo!' Hold onto the end. That's what I intend to do..."

Jake stood out from the rest of the crowd.

"I'm hopelessly devoted to you....but now! There's noooooowhere to hiiiiide, since you pushed my love asiiiiiiide!" Rich belted out, earning applause. "I'm out of my head! Hopelessly devoted to you! Hopelessly devoted to you...."

Rich looked at Jake again.

"Hopelessly devoted to you...." Rich sang the last high note, staring right at Jake. He felt tears well up in his eyes, as he heard all the cheers and applause coming from the crowd. Jake didn't say or do anything. Rich ran off the stage, wiping his eyes.

He bumped straight into Jake, stumbling.

"Woah, I'm so sorry-" The rest of his sentence was ignored by Rich.

"Christine, I gotta go." He rushed by the table. The plate of wings was steaming, uneaten. The waitress looked confused. Christine laid down a five and ten dollar bill, mouthing 'sorry!' And bolted towards the door.

Rich opened the doors, feeling the cold air against his skin. He stepped outside, slamming the doors behind him. He walked out towards nowhere, trying not to let anyone hear him choke on sobs.

Rich had never known true love until he fell in love with Jake. And he never felt true sadness until Jake had left him.

That was a rollercoaster to write.

Well, as I said earlier, please send in prompts!!!!!
