Keith was isolated in a new room dressed in an attire similar to one of the Blades, while Shiro and I were in a different room, watching him on the screen. I must say, the suit looked good on him though, but what worries me is what was lying before Keith.
With the knife at one hand, Keith braced himself as a panel from the center of the floor opened up, revealing a single agent. "Surrender the blade," the agent says as he drew out his sword. "You cannot win."
Keith gritted his teeth as he advanced towards the member of the Blade, only to get himself beaten up. Despite being pushed, Keith was able to recover and advance again. Blades clashed as the two continued to fight.
As for me, I was on edge watching Keith struggling to keep up with the agent's speed. The guy was too fast for him. I could barely watch seeing Keith putting all his efforts into the fight, only to be pushed around and beaten by the agent. Just then, the Blade attacked once more, hitting Keith's shoulder with the blade.
Keith lets out a scream of pain as he quickly held onto his shoulder with his left hand, "Keith!" I yelled at the screen, wanting him to stop at that instant.
"He can't hear you," Kolivan spoke up as I continued to watch Keith go back into the fight. That, I already knew, but my emotions were getting the best of me as I watched Keith getting hurt. I was becoming restless, and I'm sure Shiro was feeling the same.
I looked over at Shiro, seeing his dark brows furrow to the center as he concentrated on the screen. "Come on, Keith," He mutters under his breath.
Not even seconds later, Keith let out a yell of pain once more. I looked at the screen, seeing that Keith was in a tight position, now disarmed by the agent. The Blade's sword rested against the back of Keith's throat, making me feel uneasy.
"Surrender the blade, and the pain will cease," The Blade said as he continued to hold Keith in the position that he was in.
"I won't quit," Keith grunted.
"Then the pain continues," The agent removed the sword from Keith's neck and released him. Keith fell on his hands and knees before getting back up on his feet. The agent stepped aside, pointing to the door across the room. "You are not meant to go through that door," He says.
There was a confused look on Keith's face for a while. I too was wondering what was happening and why the Blade allowed Keith to continue. Without saying a word, Keith walks towards the door, picking up the pace as he went.
Keith found himself in another room. This time, he was facing two of the Blades, "This is not a fair fight!" Shiro exclaims as we continued to watch Keith struggle again and again.
"Nor is taking on the Galra," Kolivan retorts. "Yet, that is the fight we face." Again, Keith falls to his knees with a sword placed close to his neck.
"Surrender the blade, and the pain will cease," The agent said.
"Never!" Keith cried out. Again, they make way for him so he could go past the doors.
It was a never-ending cycle of Keith continually being beaten up by the agents that continued to multiple every time he stepped into a new room. He would continue to go to the next despite his body growing weaker.
"How long will this go on?" I asked Kolivan.
"Sometimes, the greatest challenge is knowing when to stop," Kolivan replied.
"He'll never quit," Shiro said. I adhered to his statement, knowing Keith well enough to know how stubborn he can be.
"One way or another, this will end. Knowledge or death."
