"Everybody, get up! " a voice called over through the sound system, abruptly waking me up from my sleep. My eyes slowly open to see Kosmo snuggled up against me. "Come on, time to wake up."

It had been weeks since we left Acxa's hideout en route back to earth. Nothing exciting has happened lately, and we were left bored out of our minds. It was mainly eating, sleeping, and then repeat for most of us. I was already getting tired of my routine of having to read some interesting literature about Olkarian tech that I got from Pidge since no one else wanted to read them. It was just redundant since I've read them twice ore more already.

"What time is it anyway?" Hunk asks with a sleepy voice before going into a yawn.

"Who knows? We've been traveling in outer space where there is no day or night, " I replied as I sat up from my bed. I rubbed my eyes, forcing myself to stay awake. Kosmo suddenly wakes up and stretches on the bed as any normal dog would do after waking up. I reached out for his head and ruffled his fur. "Good morning, buddy."

"What's the point? We're just floating in the middle of nowhere, and we have nothing else to do," Lance joins in on the conversation.

"I have to agree with Lance, " Allura sighs. "We should sleep for at least another fifteen dobashes."

"Guys, we can't allow this long journey dull our skills or make us soft," Keith replied. He sounded like he was wide awake and ready to take on anything. "Routine will keep us sharp."

In unison, the rest of us paladins groaned. All I wanted to do at this point "Keith's right. That's how I was able to get through being Zarkon's prisoner and being in the infinite void of the Black Lion."

"I'll have to second that," my mother's voice fully woke me up from my drowsiness. "That helped me wait for over ten thousand decaphoebs for my daughter to save me and take the White Lion." I looked up to see the triangular robot device that contained my mother's spirit hovering off to the side.

Pidge had some time while we were floating in space to recreate a similar look to Rover, her pet robot from when we were still on Arus. She said she made it for me so I could transfer my mother's spirit into this tiny little device. Mom wasn't too much of a fan since it was small, but she liked the fact that she could control where she wanted to go.

"I guess that does make you two experts of killing time," Lance sighs.

"Okay everyone, to your stations," Keith commanded through our communication channel as I got out of bed and quickly got changed into my suit. "We're going to be running training simulations now." Everyone else groaned and murmured after Keith's announcement. I wasn't very pleased either, but Keith was right about making it routine. We can't slack off while we're on our way home.

Once everyone was in their stations, Krolia started giving us a brief introduction at what we were going to do. It was a training simulation that she programmed while we were still snoozing away in our beds. The scenario was that we encountered a planet with double gravity, dense volcanic fog, and eight flying raptors of some sort start attacking. As interesting as the scenario was, it felt like it would be too easy despite Krolia's statement earlier that it would be challenging.

"Do those raptors lay eggs? Maybe we can steal some and cook them for breakfast," Hunk retorts as we fly through the simulation. Just as he finished his sentence, a high-pitched screech was heard as one of the raptors popped right beside him. Hunk lets out a scream, which was followed by a thud, causing me to wonder what had happened to him.
