You drop onto your bed with a loud sigh, pulling the covers over you and your head as you attempt to curl into a ball. You wanted nothing more than to mope and cry your eyes out, but tears never came to your eyes. Instead you stared at the wall not that far from your bed and attempted to piece together why your, now ex, boyfriend had decided to cheat on you. To lead you on in a never ending cycle of hurt. You wondered ultimately how you never saw it coming.

Your heart ached and you felt as if someone had ripped your heart out of your chest and stomped all over it. You were hurt and confused all at once. Why hadn't you been good enough? That same question circled your mind, over and over throughout the night as you ignored the calls and messages you recieved from your closest friends. You couldn't find the strength to talk to any of them at that moment. They warned you in the past, told you that you would end up hurt in the end. Hell, even Sicheng tried his best to talk you out of the relationship with your ex. He knew he was trouble from a mile away. You knew that if you told WinWin about the outcome of your relationship he would say something along the lines of "I told you so", no, that wasn't a Sicheng thing. He wouldn't rub something like that in your face, but he would eventually bring up the fact that he did tell you something was wrong from the beginning, and frankly you just didn't have the heart to face that at the moment.

You fall asleep that night with tears drenching your pillow, your heart aching at the fact that maybe you were just unlovable in other people's eyes.

The next morning you awake to sharp knocking. You stumble through your small studio apartment to the door and yank it open, glaring at the person who'd decided to visit you announced. It was none other than your best friend, Dong Sicheng. He raised an eyebrow at your disheveled appearance.

"Did you just now wake up?" He asks.

"It's early WinWin," you answer with narrowed eyes, walking away from the door while dragging your feet.

Sicheng enters the apartment quietly and closes the door behind him. "It's actually two in the afternoon Y/N." He corrects you as he slips on a pair of slippers.

You wave your hand dismissevly and return to your bedroom, dropping down onto the bed and covering up once again. WinWin follows you into your bedroom with a frown. Because of how close your friendship was with Sicheng, it was usual for him to walk around in your apartment, coming and going as he pleases. You'd even grown use to him sleeping in your bed more than you did yourself. You often stayed up late working on new projects and essays for college, most of the time falling asleep on the couch.

"What happened?" He asks.

"Nothing happened," your answer is muffled through the duvet that covers your head.

WinWin sits on the edge of your bed and tugs the blankets down so that your face is revealed. "I'm not dumb Y/N, something obviously happened. So tell me." You could never lie to him.

You first met WinWin on your first day of college. You'd ran into him when you were late to class, he himself had been running late. Fate messed around and made it so WinWin and you always bumped into each other, which eventually lead to a blooming friendship. Fast forward three years later and now the two of you were as thick as thieves. You'd learned so much about WinWin in the past three years that you knew him like the back of your hand, as did WinWin. If there was anyone you could never lie to without them seeing straight through it, it was WinWin. He seen past your lies and knew when something was wrong.

"I broke up with Minho yesterday," you answer. "I found out he was cheating and leading me on."

WinWin has to resist the urge to say "I told you so" to you. He knew it from the minute you introduced Minho to him as your boyfriend. WinWin didn't like him the slightest when you first began dating him, first it was because he knew you were too good for Minho, and second because he was jealous. He'd fallen for you helplessly and secretly wished that maybe, just maybe, you felt the same way as him. Except you'd gotten in a relationship with Minho, and Sicheng's hopes of there being a future between the two of you slowly diminished. Until now. He saw how hurt you were by the fact that Minho had lead you to believe you were the only one for him, that Minho had played you and shattered your self confidence. He knew how much it hurt to be cheated on. Sicheng hated how hurt you looked. He wanted nothing more than to take the hurt and cast it away, to take you and hold you in his arms. But he couldn't. Not yet at least.
