Peter Parker.

Ever since Tony, your dad, brought him in two years ago, you've been butting heads. You don't know why, but you just didn't get along with him to well. Well, it wasn't that he was rude, he just gave off that kind of vibe that you didn't particularly like.

It didn't help that you were always pushed together during missions, either.

And during training.

And game nights.

Basically, any activity that involved partnering up, you were forced to be with him.

Luckily, on this mission, only Peter and Sam were sent out, leaving you to relax freely in the HQs without having to put up with his annoying comments and roasts.

"Thank god he's finally gone," you groan in relief as you fall back against the couch, tightly hugging a pillow to your chest.

"What really is up with you and Spidey?" Pietro asked curiously.

"I don't like him."

"He is aware of this?"

"Yup. I even told him I hated him, too. He said, 'Me too'."

"But girls only say 'I hate you' to the guys they love, that is what I have heard."

Welp, that hit you harder than you thought.

"N-no," you spluttered, "w-we don't, we don't like each other at all. Why would I love him?"

"You never know, Y/N," Pietro ruffled your forehead and sped off to Bucky's room for his poker rematch.

Around an hour and one Office episode later, JARVIS made the announcement that Peter had arrived with Sam, along with some other news. "Mr. Stark, Mr. Parker has been injured so you may want to attend to him as soon as possible."

God, what did that idiot do now to get himself hurt? you thought, rolling your eyes and crossing your arms.

Hopefully, he'd be okay, though, another voice said.

Although you disliked him at times, it didn't mean that you really, truly hated his guts and wished for him to get hurt. So to hear that he was injured made your heart jump in fear.

"Be right there, JARVIS," Tony called, getting up from his seat at the dining table where he was eating his salad, rushing over to meet up with Sam and Peter.

...

Ever since Peter got back from his mission, you couldn't stop thinking about what had happened. He was careless to get stabbed by the HYDRA agent, yes, but at the same time, you were worried. You got mad at him because you were scared.

You thought that you needed fresh air to clear out all those thoughts cluttering your head, so you slipped back on your shoes, stepping out to the balcony.

Looking up towards the midnight blue of the sky, you saw the radiant, shining stars spread out as if someone had carelessly tossed fistfuls of little diamonds onto a black cloth that glittered so brightly, seeming so close yet so far away, with the pale, yellow crescent moon perched on a puffy bank of silvery, wispy clouds. The wind gently rustled your hair around, and its cool breeze was soothing instead of icy-cold.

You heard someone behind you and turned to see Peter standing there, hands in his pockets, seemingly in good condition despite what had happened earlier.
