you got off the bus, waving goodbye to the driver, and walked to the diner you worked in. you rode the bus everyday, you and the driver were almost friends. and you had worked at the diner so long everyone knew you.

you tied up your hair and clocked in, saying hello to your coworkers. you began working, waiting on tables and cleaning up after people had left.

you heard the bell above the door ring and glanced in that direction. you were surprised when you saw who walked in. why would he be at a diner at eight at night? shouldn't he be out partying?

his name was zach herron and he had the worst reputation. you had heard all about him and how he treated girls. how he had them wrapped around his finger and they'd do anything for him.

you were almost more surprised that he came in without a girl on his arm than the fact that he came in at all. he sat in a booth and looked at a menu.

"y/n, can you get that table for me please?" your coworker asked.

"but-"

"thanks!" he said. you sighed and went over to his table.

"can i get you started off with a drink?" you asked.

"yeah, just a water please. and can i go ahead and order a burger?" he never looked up once.

"yeah of course. i'll have that right out."

his head snapped up and he caught your eye. no wonder all the girls fell for him, with eyes like that. they sparkled from the sunset shining through the big windows. you gave him a small smile then left the table. you could feel him watching you, so you hurried to the back to get his drink and hand in his order.

you headed back to his table, avoiding eye contact at all.

"here you go."

"thanks...y/n."

"um you're welcome zach," you said quickly.

"how do you-"

"shit." you heard him chuckle.

"it's okay," he told you.

"i- i know people that you're friends with. i'm not creepy or anything." you laughed awkwardly.

"i figured. a lot of people know me." he smirked.

"right." you rolled your eyes. "i'm going now."

you sighed and mentally face palmed yourself, moving on and waiting on other tables. you kept your mouth shut the rest of the time, not saying a word to zach.

at eleven you were the only one in the building. you had finished cleaning and setting up for tomorrow so you went to lock the front doors. you went to the back, leaving your apron on its hook, and turned all the lights off before walking outside.

"y/n!" you jumped and turned around, seeing zach sitting on a bench.

"zach?" you asked. "w-what are you doing here?"

"i couldn't get you off my mind." he smiled. your heart skipped a beat, but then you snapped yourself out of it.

"me and a hundred other girls," you scoffed.

"no, i'm serious y/n. there's something about you, i don't know. but i was hoping you'd let me take you home so i could find out?"

"zach-" you shook your head, walking away. he ran up in front of you and stopped you.

"don't say no. come on, i see all your friends at parties but never you. i know you're always working, just have some fun, yeah?" he asked, looking in your eyes.

"okay, fine. just tonight." you couldn't help but smile. you could hear all the voices in your head telling you no, that this was a bad idea and you knew it'd end badly, but you didn't listen to any of them.

zach took your hand and led you to the front of the diner where you saw a motorcycle.

"um..."

"don't worry, it'll be fine," he said. you took a deep breath and followed zach. he got on the motorcycle and you got in behind him.

"just hold on tight and you'll be fine."

you wrapped your arms around his torso and he started off to his apartment. you lay your head on his shoulder and closed your eyes, feeling the wind blow through your hair.

zach brought you into his apartment and towards his bedroom. you shut the door and he went and sat on his bed. you stared at him, your heart rate speeding up.

"you ready?" he asked, still with that smirk on his face. you but your lip and nodded, walking towards him.

he stood up and took his shirt off. then he put his hands on your waist, yours going up to his face. you kissed him and immediately felt his tongue. he turned you around and fell onto the bed, hovering over you.

he unbuttoned your dress and let it fall off your shoulders. he smiled seeing you in your underwear.

"you're so beautiful," he whispered, kissing your ear. he kissed down your neck and down your stomach.

the next morning you woke up in zach's bed. you yawned and got out of bed, grabbing a sweatshirt you found on a chair. you looked at your phone and saw it was almost ten. you had work at noon, you needed to leave.

you went over the window and and opened the curtains letting the light flood in.

"hey." you looked over and saw zach squinting.

"um, i have work soon so i'm just gonna-"

"is that my sweatshirt?" he asked, rubbing his eyes and sitting up.

"um...yeah."

"you gonna keep it?" he smirked.

"no, i was gonna give it back." you shook your head.

"you should keep it. you look good in it." he smirked. "but not as good as you looked last ni-"

"no, stop. i told you one night and that's all it is." you crossed your arms.

"you know it was fun. and stress relieving. you liked it. a lot. so why not relieve a little bit more stress and have a little bit more fun?" he asked, looking you up and down while biting his lip.

you couldn't deny that it was amazing last night. and you wouldn't mind doing it one last time. you pushed away the voices telling you no and walked towards zach.

you straddled his lap and kissed his lips, grinding against him.

"i'm glad we're on the same page," he whispered.

"this is the last time."

"mhm. if not i know where to find you."

"shhh."
