• she didn't think she could handle protecting some princess while her dad was at war

• Nat hated it

• so much so she thought about having someone else take over

• but Nat wasn't a quitter

• in the beginning Nat hated you

• she couldn't stand you

• until she figured out you and her were a lot a like

• you were guarded just like her and didn't like meeting new people

• and your mother had just passed and you were next in line for the throne

• which was something you didn't want

• both of you got used to each other once the ice was broken

• you actually started enjoying her company

• so much so that you got sad thinking about her not being your bodyguard anymore

• there were a lot of close calls where you almost died

• Nat got worked up doing those times

• she would stick closer to you than normal

• it was nice

• you didn't know it yet but Nat had fallen in love with you somewhere between then and now

• she'd wait till you fell asleep before she would

• sometimes she wouldn't sleep at all because she was afraid something would happen

• the day you got kidnapped was the day she confessed her feelings for you

• after she killed the men who took you of course

• you told her you felt the same

• when the war was over your father returned and you were crowned queen

• Nat was at the ceremony alongside you

• she was proud

• Nat left SHEILD to become your full time bodyguard

• and a few years later you both got married and she was crowned queen

• both of you ruled the kingdom together

• nobody dared declare war on your kingdom or hurt a hair on your head

• Nat protected what was hers

• and she was glad you were hers
