"Caroline, I want to help you with Matt" Claire said following her sister throughout the house.
"I can handle Matt" Caroline said. "Me and Stefan are looking for him. We'll find him and explain everything."
Caroline had gone to the Grill after Claire reunited with Elijah. There she tried to convince Bonnie and Elena that Elijah was the good guy, that they could trust him. Bonnie was upset they had found a way around her spell and Elena didn't know who to trust. It was obvious the two girls weren't buying what Caroline was telling them no matter how hard Caroline tried.
Eventually Caroline gave up on them. She made it clear where she stood, with her sister. After walking away from them, she ran into Matt. They talked and one thing led to another. Next thing Caroline knows, she's standing on the stage singing her heart out to him. Matt comes up onto the stage and they share the best kiss Caroline's ever had. But of course it's all ruined when a fight breaks out in the Grill over Elena's life. Matt gets mortally injured forcing Caroline to heal him with her blood exposing her as a vampire.
Matt's been missing ever since. Caroline has explained everything that's happened to Claire. The younger twin sister wanted to go and help with Matt but Caroline wasn't having it. Today was the day Elijah is planning on taking Claire out on a date and Caroline was going to make sure that happened.
"Matt's my friend too, Caroline, I want to help." Claire told her. All Claire could think about was when she went off the rails after.... Aaron's death. Matt and Jeremy had been a lifeline during that period and Claire wanted to help Matt now.
"Claire, you and Elijah are going to go on a spectacular date and then spend the night in a beautiful hotel. I helped him plan it and Ill be damned if you don't experience it" Caroline snipped looking at her. "Now, I'm going to deal with Matt. Sarah is going to handle Madelyn. You're going to take a shower and get ready before Elijah gets here. Understand?" Caroline said giving Claire a look saying she wasn't backing down. There was only one person Claire could think of that was more stubborn than herself and that's her twin sister.
"Fine but call me if something happens" Claire said pointing her.
"You have my word, now go! Shoo!" Caroline said pushing her lightly to the bathroom. Claire sighed and took her shower. When she was done, she went to her room and saw a nice dress on the bed.
Claire held up the dress wondering where they were doing. She slipped it on before looking into the mirror. It was a green with white polka dots. It was long sleeves and the top was a type of elastic that kept the dress up seeing as it didn't go over the shoulders.
