*Another short one! Sorry! This is basically a mature chapter between Klaus and Claire, not my best but I still hope you enjoy! The next chapter is going to be pretty long to make up for two short ones in a row so be prepared!*

"Good morning, sweetheart" Klaus mutters as Claire slowly wakes up. Klaus had woken up about an hour earlier and couldn't bring himself to leave her side. He loved being beside her as she slept. The sound of her steady heartbeat, her slow breaths. He especially loved how when he moved, she moved with him.

"What time is it?" She mutters tiredly. She nuzzles her head deeper into his chest. He kisses the top of her head.

"About nine in the morning." He mutters in reply. For a moment he thinks she's fallen back to sleep but then she shuffles in his arms to lay on her back. Slowly, her eyes flutter open. "I want to take you out today... Just the two of us." He whispers lowly knowing she was still waking up.

"What did you have in mind?" She asks with a lazy smile. He smiles back at her.

"One of the dreams I had of your past was of you and Caroline" Klaus begins to explain. Claire lays her head on the side looking at him. "You two were very young and a man was taking you horseback riding. You seemed to enjoy it." He says. She instantly smiles at the memory.

"Bill had taken us horseback riding a little bit after him and my mom divorced. He took us a few times but eventually he stopped." Claire explained sounding slightly disappointed. She hasn't been on a horse for a long time but the thought of being on one again made her extremely excited.

"So, you want to go?" He questions. She smiled nodding. He grins climbing on top of her. Her legs instinctively move to allow him to settle between them. He rests on his elbows, his face hovering over hers. Her hands rub his sides slowly. "I love you, Claire Forbes." He confesses to her. She smiles at him, her eyes lighting up like a Christmas tree.

"I love you Niklaus Mikaelson" She whispers to him.

Their eyes gaze into each other before their lips connected. Claire's fingers dig into his sides pulling him down onto her more. She moans lowly as his hips roll into hers. Her legs hook around his. She wanted to be as close to him as possible. "What are you doing to me, Claire?" He whispers in a daze.

He's never felt like this in his entire existence. He's cared for other women but nothing like Claire and certainly not so soon. He's hardly known her for long but to even try to imagine life without her is complete hell.

Claire smiles and manages to push him onto his back. This allows her to straddle his waist. He grins up at her, his eyes soft and completely filled with adortion. She brushes their noses together before kissing him softly.

"Showing you that you're not alone" She answers him even know she knew it was a rhetorical question. A sense of seriousness crosses his face. "Trying to prove to you that you are loved and that you are capable of loving someone despite what you want everyone else to think."
