The inside of the training dome was set up with tall steel barriers and pillars as the Gronckle roamed around. Hiding behind the pillars was Henry's mecha, who was later joined by Alice's.
Henry was about to make his move when Alice fired something at Henry's wheel legs. Those were magnetic locks.
"What the-??" Henry stammered. "This is my warning: stay out of the way. I'm winning this thing." Alice said firmly before driving off, grabbing the attention. "Oh, please. By all means." Henry whined before looking up at the dome windows, spotting his father among every military personnel who has come. Simon nodded at him, and Henry pulled up a thumbs up on his mecha before making a deadpanned expression inside and turning to face the dragon. The Gronckle hovered around, trying to find the two mechas. Alice's blue kurata was following behind the dragon, hiding into a barrier into another, waiting for the perfect time to strike.
When she noticed the dragon stop, Alice leaned into the steel barrier while composing her mecha's posture. "This time for sure! I'll make it!" Alice was heard muttering to herself before getting up and letting out a battle cry. She leaped over a pillar and a barrier as she charged at the Gronckle...only to find it on the ground surrounded by green smoke.Henry's mecha was standing beside it with the magnet locks still on, his micro missile doors closing and making a shrug that meant: "Well...you chained me to the floor. And I was forced to use my smoke missiles. So technically it's your fault you missed". That made Alice's frustration and hate towards Henry grow even more. The crowd of military personnel cheered for Henry while Alice shouted out her frustration.
"NO! Sohn eines halbgesichtigen fisches!!! Verdammt!!!" Alice spat out as she swing her rocket axe dangerously from side to side in rage. "I'm not sure what she meant, but she doesn't seem happy." Henry muttered to himself."Everyone quiet!" a voice from the speakers said later on, trying to calm down the cheering crowd at the other end of the dome.
"So...later!" Henry said, trying to leave the area but was stopped by Gideon's hanging robot, who grabbed him by his mecha's shoulder.
"Woah! Not so fast!"
"Look, I'm kind of late for—" Henry tried to reason but was cut off by Alice, who welded her axe close to his visor.
"What? Late for what, exactly? Don't coward down!" Alice growled through gritted teeth.
Elias was watching the commotion below, looking worried for Henry. Knowing the girl and her patience, so much had happened with the axe at hand and he hoped nothing went wrong."Alright! Settle down! The Colonel has made a decision." a different voice from the speakers was heard, and everyone from the other side calmed down.
Up on the screens, the computer was calculating the performance levels that each of the students had shown throughout the course.Henry's name was shifted into first place, while Alice's was shifted into second place. This caused the crowd to start cheering even more louder that the students could literally hear them from the other side.
Even the other class students started to cheer.
"You've done it, Henry! You now get to kill the Monstrous Nightmare in the Final exam!!!" Gideon congratulated Henry. Alice looked at him with fury, which nobody knew because she was inside of her mecha(although Henry felt her glare).
"That's my boy!!!" Simon said as loud as he could from the other side with pride.
The other teammates went down to the dome after Henry got out of the cockpit to congratulate him.
"Heh. Yeah! I can't wait! I am..."~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"...a bit unsure about him." Akio said to his mate Amari. "Unsure about what?" Amari asked. "Unsure wether we should really trust these two humans. I mean, yes, one did heal your injuries and both are hiding us from the rest of their kind, but...are they really that trustworthy?" Akio questioned.
