When they arrived at the military junkyard, it was desolate like always.

"Umm....This is where you get the spare parts? You do realize that there is a "RESTRICTED AREA" sign over there. How do you enter-?" Alice was asking when Henry pulled out a card and slid it on an access pad. The lights turned green and the doors opened. Once they opened fully, Henry looked to the side at her with a sly smile and went in as he put back the card in his pocket.
"Dad lend me access here and military repair procedures. This is how I've made my original mecha." Henry said as he and Alice entered.
They searched among the pile of scrap metal for spare limbs and parts for a good while until they found them. Henry left for a while then returned with his mecha to pick up the parts and returned them to his garage.

Once there he began to refurbish and restore the parts with the manuals and specifications, which wasn't that hard.
"So...about what I heard you say before those two appeared...what did you mean that you were never coming back?" Alice's asked him from the ground as he tightened and installed bolts on the arm slot. Henry didn't answer her question because knew how absurd it would sound, and only he knew why he was doing it while he continued installing the new arm on Alice's mecha.

Of course, Alice got the answer from his silence when she said, "Wait....No. You are NOT going to fake your death. Just stop and think about what you're about to do. Besides, your final exam is in two days. You know you have to-". "I don't want to. I have to leave, Alice. I'm taking the dragons and leaving." Henry cut her off.
"Henry, please. If you just talk to them, maybe we could-"
"Hand them over? No! They are soldiers! Men of war! They don't listen, and they never will. Don't you understand what it would mean if I told them? It would mean I'd have to reveal them! It would kill them! Me, Elias and you! And I can't...I can't do that to you or them. I will not kill them like my father." Henry cut her off.

"So you are doing this to protect your dragons?" Alice said.

"That's right." Henry replied.

Alice looked surprised. "So, what do we do instead?" she asked. "I don't know. I'll figure something out with Elias tomorrow. If not, then I'll go forth as planned." Henry said.
"Alright. And one more thing..." Alice said.

WHACK!

"Ow!!" Henry yelped as he clutched his shoulder from the pain of Alice's shoulder punch.
"That was for kidnapping me." Alice said grumpily. Henry looked over his shoulder at Amari, who woke up and saw it, as if asking for help.
"(~That's true. At least, most of it.~)" Amari mindlinked him with a snort.
"And this..." Alice said shyly, then pulled Henry towards her and kissed him on his cheek, "That's for...everything else...". She then got on her mecha, closed the cockpit, and headed towards her home while Henry watched her go.
Henry noticed Amari standing next to him and say, "(~Awwww. That was nice of her.~)".
"W-What are you looking at?" Henry stammered as his cheeks turned red.
"(~Noooothing~. I think she likes you~)" she purred. "Frankly, I admire her but do not like her." Henry explained as he straightened his face up.

After that, minutes later, Henry got an unexpected message from HQ. And the news surprised him.
[FINAL EXAM POSTPONED. MISSION BRIEFING FOR VIKING SQUADRON WILL TAKE PLACE AT 19:00.]
With that being read, Henry called Elias.

"Hey, Elias. It's me. I...I think we may have a chance to bring them home."
