Chapter 35~ And So It Begins

Katie's POV

Its been almost a month and a half since I was signed by Hollywood Records, and my management team was hired. My management team included Demi and Nick as managers long with Phil and my Grandpa Eddie. My main body guard was named Charlie and he was pretty cool. Max and Sugar would sometimes be my body guards. I got some say in who was on my team but to be honest, I didn't really care if I got any say because I was just getting started with the business so I didn't really know anything.  Also Nick offically moved in with us so thats fun.

The entire world now knows that Nick is my dad, because he tweeted it out with the picture that Demi took of me and him at the court house when he was giving me a piggy back ride. Demi and I both also retweeted the picture. 

My entire week was booked with a crap ton of interveiws and studio along with a photoshoots. I'm actually on my way to my interview with Ellen which I was totaly excited about because the first time I was on Ellen, Demi was telling the world who I was and now I'm a signed artist and so much has changed. Demi, Nick were with me but I was the only one actually going on the show. I was also going to perform a song that I just finished in the studio a few days ago today on Ellen and once again tomorrow on Radio Disney.

When we got there, I was ushered to hair and makeup but had the bare minimum done. Soon it was show time. Ellen did her segmints before she called me out. I heard it and I couldn't help but to smile at how she called me out. 

"So we have a special guest today, when we first met her when she was introduced to the world as Demi Lovato's adopitive daughter but so much has changed for her since then, ladies and gentalmen please welcome Kaitlyn Lovato"  Ellen said 

The audiance broke out into applause as I walked out. I smiled and waved to everyone. This all still felt so real to me. 

"Hey how are you?"  I asked Ellen when I reached her

"I'm doing great and how are you?"  Ellen asked me

"I'm doing amazing, things are looking up"  I said 

"That's good, so I heard you had your name changed" Ellen said

"Yea, so I had dropped Jennifer from my name and I added Devonne. The reason behind that is because I found out my birth moms name was Jennifer and I really don't want anything to do with her. As far as I'm concerned Demi is so much more then just my adoptive mom, she's the only mom I will ever need"  I said

"Awh, well that's so sweet of you. Okay so because I follow Nick and Demi and now you on twitter, I saw an interesting picture. Do you mind if we show it and you could explain it?" Ellen said

"Haha sure"  I said

"Alright, well lets throw it up on the big screen"  Ellen said

We both turned around and looked at the picture, it was the picture of me and Nick after he offically became my dad. I smile at the memory that the picture held. 

"Okay so what's going on in this picture?"  Ellen asked

"Okay, we were in the court house because Nick signed the paperwork to become my adoptive dad and him and I were goofing off afterwards. I jumped onto his back for a piggy back ride and my mom caught us at the right moment and took this awesome picture. So Nick is now my dad, and just like with my mom, it doesn't matter if I don't carry a single shred of his genetics, he will be the only dad I will ever need and I love him. But I'm not going to lie, it still feels a little weird calling him that but I do enjoy calling him that, but in the end I couldn't ask for a better person to call dad. " I said with a smile on my face
