Audrey

Kai had called me multiple times in the past three months to help him at photoshoots, but I couldn't. I always stayed so busy editing pictures for big shot photographers and my classes. I tried to help Kai out as often as I could because he's helped me get a lot of editing jobs, but I felt like I was letting him down.

"Audrey, " my mom peeked her head into my room, "Kai and his friend are here."

"Send them back, thanks, mom." She shot me a sweet smile before she disappeared out of the doorway.

I adored my mother. She was my best friend and my rock. Some days it felt like she was the only thing keeping me afloat.

Seconds later, Kai entered my room along with Harry, I couldn't help but smile when I saw him. I hadn't seen him in months, but in the back of my mind, I always wondered about him.

"What are you losers doing here?" I said barely pulling my eyes off my laptop.

"We came to pick your lazy butt up," Kai said as he plopped down on the corner of my bed. "Besides, Harry will only let me take pictures of him when you're around." I glanced over at Harry as he stared a hole through Kai. "You make him smile," Kai said in a playful tone as he looked back at Harry. Harry's face turned a bright shade of red, his eyes fell to the floor. I couldn't help but smile.

"D'awe, that's adorable," I said in a baby voice.

"Oh my gosh, I'm leaving." He said in an embarrassed tone. He shuffled out of my bedroom with his face glowing red.

"Come on, Come back H!" I yelled for him as I pulled myself out of the bed. "Does this look okay?" I asked Kai as his eyes ran over my outfit.

I was dressed in a simple white summer dress that fell mid-thigh, he nodded with a large grin across his lips. I slipped my feet into my converse.

"You know how to dress things down, don't you?"

Kai hated that I always wore my converse or vans. I loved these shoes. They were simple and they went with everything.

"Love, I think you look great." Harry's accent filled the room.

I looked over my shoulder to see him with a soft smile, propped against the door frame. I nodded in thanks to him.

"You losers ready to go?" They both nodded. Kai quickly left the room, but Harry waited for me.

Harry allowed me to walk in front of him, I felt his eyes staring into me. I suddenly had a rush of insecurity rush of me.

you're okay, you look just fine. don't worry.

I always catch myself giving mental speeches. I don't know why, I've done it every since I was a kid. I mainly do it to keep myself from having a panic attack or acting awkward, which is something else that I have the tendency to do.

"Mom," she pulled her eyes away from the mountains of paperwork she had, "I'm going to go hang out with Harry and Kai for a while. " she nodded with a sloppy grin across her face. "Hey momma, don't stress out. Take a break for a little bit." I wrapped my arms around her, pulling her close to me.

"He's a cute boy baby, I like him." She whispered into my ear. "He's a gentleman. You deserve that." She smiled at me, I noticed the small smirk hiding beneath her smile.

I felt the heat rise to my face. She always does this. She did it with Kai for the longest time until she realized he was nothing more than just a friend. She'll do the same thing with Harry until she realizes it's never going to go anywhere. She pushes so hard for me to find someone without realizing I don't want to find someone.

I'm not opposed to love, but I think I've finally decided it's not for me.

"It was nice meeting you, darling." She shot him a bright smile as I met him at the door.

"It was nice to meet you, Ms. Taylor." Harry gave her a polite smile before he waved. He waited on me before he started outside.

"So now that you've met her mom, are you all going to date?" Kai joked around with us with a smirk plastered across his lips.

Kai is the same as my mother. They're both so hell bent on me finding "the one." I love them both so much, but goodness, I can't have a friend that's the opposite sex without either of them pushing it.

Harry and I both shot him an icy glare, he threw his hands up in defense. We both chuckled at each other.

"Shotgun!" Kai yelled as he ran to the passenger side seat of Harry's Ford Mustang Convertible.

My eyes ran over the black exterior. Everything about Harry was so captivating even the car he drives. The car suits him perfectly too. An old car for an old soul.

"Sorry Mate, pretty girl gets to ride shotgun." Harry winked at me as I walked to the passenger side, pushing Kai out of the way.

Kai sighed as he crawled into the back seat, "I don't like any of this." He pouted with his arms crossed against his chest.

We pulled into Robeks, I could feel the excitement start to fill my body. I loved smoothies. I act like a kid in a candy store every time I come here.

"What does everyone want?" Harry asked as he turned to face us.

"A tropical fruit smoothie, please." I paused for a minute, "I'll pay you back later, I promise. " he shook his head.

"No, love, it's okay! I'm paying today." He smiled at me, "Kai, do you want your usual?" He nodded, not removing his eyes from his phone. He had been silent most of the ride, but so had all of us.

Harry pulled himself from the car as my eyes followed him, "Listen, I know he's dreamy but can you stop?" Kai snapped as he poked his head between the seats. I furrowed my brows at him, "Don't give me that look. I see the way you look at him, I know you like him."

"It's not like that." I reassured him, "I mean he is pretty dreamy though." Kai nudged me as I giggled. I loved getting under his skin.

We sat in the park drinking our smoothies and eating our food. Harry bought us all lunch too, which was sweet but infuriating that he won't let me pay him back.

It was an afternoon full of laughter, this was the most I've smiled in a while. The three of us were constantly cracking jokes and trying to see who could make the others laugh the hardest.

I took a rather long sip of my drink because I zoned out, whoops. I burped and it was louder than it was anticipated to be. Harry's green eyes grew larger in shock that my small body could project such a loud sound.

"That was impressive." He said as he chuckled a little bit. He held his hand up for a high five which I gladly accepted.

"That's adorable." Kai scoffed as he rolled his eyes.

"It was a high five, it's not like I kissed her." Harry smarted off.

I almost spit my smoothie out all over Harry. Harry has been very quiet the few times we've hung out, I never expected him to be a smart ass.

There was so much tension in the air now. Kai was upset because he felt like he was third-wheeling, and now he knows how it feels. Kai always made me third wheel on every single date he ever went on.

did you just call this a date?

Oh you know what i meant.

I pulled my phone out of my small purse, I pulled up the camera. I began taking pictures of the trees, the leaves, the clouds, the pond, and occasionally even Harry.

Harry was smiling at his phone with his straw pressed against his lips. "You look good in this one," I said as I showed him the picture.

"Send that to me." I don't even have your number. "Let me put my number in." He took my phone from my hands, quickly typing in his number. "Now you'll have it to send me pictures or if you just want to talk." He smirked at me, as I gently blushed.
