Audrey

I quietly crept towards my bedroom, I didn't want to wake my mom. I crawled back into my bed just for a little bit more rest. I felt so tired even though last night was the best night of sleep I had gotten in years.

"Did you have fun at Harry's?" I nodded not opening my eyes, I felt her lay down beside me.

so much for getting more rest.

"I'm glad you stayed over there, it's good for you. You don't need to worry about me." She said as she made herself comfortable inside the blankets of my bed.

"You're my mom, I am always going to worry about you." She smiled at me.

"Are you going to hang out with him today?" I shrugged as I pulled myself on to my forearms.

"He talked about coming over and visiting tonight, but I don't know if he will." She nodded.

"Just let me know so I can cook dinner instead of bringing home pizza."

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind eating pizza mom. " I paused for a minute. "He offered to pick us something on his way over if you wanted him to. I could go get us something, just let me know what you want." She hummed in response.

"I've gotta go get ready. " She pulled herself off my bed and rushed herself into her bedroom. "Can you gather my paperwork? It's on the table. Just throw it in my bag." She yelled from her bedroom.

My mom handled cases in social services. I can't remember a time where she wasn't surrounded by mountains of paperwork. She overworks herself all the time, taking on more and more cases as if she can handle being physically and mentally exhausted all the time.

She hides it well... to everyone else at least. I know how tired she is, but I know how much this job means to her as well. She loves being able to help everyone, or doing her best to, but she won't ever help herself. I guess that's how a lot of people function though. If they're helping everyone else, then why would they need to help someone else?

me;
that'd be lovely! see you soon

I pulled myself off the couch and walked back to my bedroom. My eyes scanned my closet for an ideal outfit or something better than my pajamas that didn't match.

A few minutes later, I heard a loud knock on the door, I quickly pulled my cardigan over my arms. I made my way towards the door with a large smile across my lips.

"Hey darling." I said as I opened the door, I saw Harry standing with a handful of roses.

"I brought these for both you and your mom," he said, handing them to me, I couldn't help but let my smile grow larger.

"Thank you, I love them. " I paused as he entered the house, "I'm sure my mom will love them. She loves anything to do with you." He smiled.

"You know where my room is, or you can take a seat on the couch, I'm going to put these in a vase." He nodded.

I placed the flowers inside a vase, which was filled halfway with water. "Harry, these are beautiful flowers." I yelled to him as I placed the vase in the center of the table.

I walked to the living room, but it was empty. I walked back to my room and he was rocking back and forth in my desk chair.

"What's wrong H?" I asked as I sat on the edge of my bed.

"That girl from last night." He sighed, his eyes fell from mine. "She keeps coming on to me, and I don't know what to do honestly. She's at the house pretty often because she's friends with Kid."

"You've never turned a girl down before?" He just looked at me with a blank stare. "Styles, I find it very hard to believe that you've never had to turn girls down."

"What are you trying to say?" He got defensive almost immediately, "I'm not that kind of guy Au-"

"I didn't mean it that way," I cut him off, "I meant that you are an attractive guy, Styles. I just figured you had girls waiting in line to be with you." He rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Don't give me that look." I scolded him.

"I'm just so tired of people always seeing me as this womanizer." He rubbed his face as he relaxed back in the chair, "I think I'm a good guy and I wish other people would see that."

"I see it." I said as I smiled at him. He just nodded his head, I could see how much it bothered him. "I can message her for you." He shook his head.

"I don't want to talk about it anymore." He immediately closed himself off. "What time will your mom be home?" He asked to change the subject.

"She usually gets off at six, but she has a meeting tonight so probably eight." I just watched him for a minute, "Do you wanna watch a movie? We could watch a rom-com." I suggested. I watched his face light up with excitement.

"Can I pick the movie?" I nodded.

After we watched the notebook, we started telling each other horrible jokes. Harry told the cheesiest jokes. He kept getting so tickled at his own jokes, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"I'm home!" I heard my mom yell as the front door slammed shut. "Did Harry bring flowers? They are so gorgeous! " She paused for a minute, "I like him, we need to keep him." Harry's face was blood red with embarrassment but we couldn't help but giggle at my mother's comments.

She walked down the hallway and saw Harry laying on my bedroom floor with me sitting beside him. "I didn't even realize you were here, that's kind of embarrassing." She said with her cheeks gaining a little bit of color.

"I'm glad you liked the flowers, Ms. Taylor." He smiled at her and she couldn't help but smile back.

"I'll leave you two alone." She said as she turned to leave my room. "Stay as long as you'd like darling." Her bedroom door closed softly.

"My mom really adores you, it's kinda hard not to." His eyes looked over my body while his face held a small grin. "You are a very lovely person, Styles."

"I really like when you call me that." I raised an eyebrow at him. "It's weird, I know, but I like people having nicknames for me. It makes me feel special." He kept looking at my facial expression to see if they would change. "I don't want you to think I'm weird." He started to defend himself.

"I don't." I reassure him, "I really like whenever you call me love." I told him. A look of relief came over his face.

He looked down at his phone, "It's getting pretty late, I should probably head out love." I furrowed my brows at him. "What's that look for?"

"Why don't you just stay?" He looked confused, "Okay, I get it sounds weird, but you shouldn't be driving this late."

I hate to admit that I just didn't want to be left alone.

"Love, I used to stay up all night whenever I was on tour I really don't think a five minute car would kill me." I frowned.

"I'll walk you out." He nodded as he gathered his things off my desk. "Thank you for coming over tonight, I really enjoyed hanging out with you." I spilled to him as we made our way to his car.

"I enjoy spending time with you." He opened his arms for a hug. I wrapped my arms tightly around his slim body. I loved the smell of his cologne, I closed my eyes as I melted into his chest.

"Be careful on your way home, can you text me to let me know you made it?" He smiled as he crawled into the seat of his car. I wrapped my cardigan around my chest as I watched him pull out of the driveway.
