~TWO YEARS LATER~
Shailene POV:
Hannah moved in with Jack right outside of the city. She's very happy, and I'm glad she is.
Right now, Sadie and Julie are at school, Theo is at work. I'm video chatting with my mom.
"Shailene, I know it's hard for you to have two kids out the door already. I know what it feels like, but I promise you, you'll be happy forever." She says.
"Thanks mom." I say. "And I miss you and dad, hopefully you guys can come and visit soon. Having no babysitter for the kids is extremely tiring."
We laugh. "I miss you too sweetie." She says.
"Tell Shailene I said hi!" Dad yells from their kitchen.
"Shai your dad says hi." Mom says.
"Hi daddy!" I say. He comes to the camera.
"How are ya baby girl?" He asks.
"Two kids left, they'll be out soon." I say.
"I can feel your excitement!"
I laugh. My dad is so hilarious. "Daddy, not everyone is excited."
"That's crazy of ya. Your mother and I were excited when you left."
They laugh. "Oh my god guys."
"Well, we gotta go. The town cook-off is starting now." Mom says.
"Alright, by mom! Bye dad!" I say.
"Bye Shailene!" They say in unison. I end the call.
I realize that parents are things that need to be cherished, because soon enough when you're gone, you won't be able to see them that often.
