"Are you sure you have everything? Absolutely positive?" Dad exclaimed while racing around the house. The two weeks had gone by quite fast as I was kept busy with packing for school and reading all my new books. Hermione was kind enough to send me a package by owl that included a book called Hogwarts: A History.  I made sure to read each page thoroughly as I was now obsessed with seeing all these details of Hogwarts in person. Ruby had also kept herself entertained by swinging her wand back and forth and releasing little sparks. It amused her for hours, and I could already tell she was going to be quite the studious witch.

"Yes, dad you know we've had this stuff packed for a full week now. If we don't leave now, we're gonna miss the train!" I whined seeing that the clock was already past 10 o'clock. In the book Hermione gifted me I learned that students traveled to school by train. The first years and transfers then rode on boats across the black lake in order to enter the castle at the beginning of the feast.

"Very well, you both know the location you yell into the fireplace correct?" he asked.

"Kings cross station," both girls said in unison having gone over this a million times, "Ah alright seems like we best be going. Violet you first." I grabbed my stuff proudly and dropped the floo powder before I was engulfed in flames. I jumped out the other end much more gracefully than in Diagon Alley and I turned to see Ruby pop out, and then Dad.

"Were here! Were here!" Ruby sang as she shook our cat, Snow, up and down in her arms. His grouchy face showed no emotion but I could tell he was not pleased with her jumping movements.

"Alright it's a quarter till 11, let's get inside quickly," dad warned before we raced inside.

"Hey dad I think my Hogwarts book had a mistake in it because it said we have to board platform 93/4? That's clearly not a real number so does that mean?Do we use magic to change the ticket or..." I asked curiously as we all sped walk towards the number 9.

"Well honey, funnily enough it is a real platform and it's right on the other side of that wall," he said as we approached the number 9 and he pointed at a large assortment of bricks.

"You're kidding right" Ruby said but we both knew dad was no jokester, "I'm not running head first into a wall with Snow, dad!" she protested. Ruby kept arguing with him while I heard another family from my right begin to talk about boarding the same platform as us.

"Here we are platform 93/4. Alright boys you should know the drill by now, steady hands," a ginger haired woman sternly said as she gripped the arm of a smaller girl. In fact, it seemed like a sea of ginger hair swam by as this entire family had bright orange hair, each boy having it long and caressing their face.

I recognized the boy Ron from the Quidditch shop and he waved hello to me, "Oh hello Violet," he politely greeted and then turned away. I saw my sister finally quit arguing and stare at the boy who spoke.

The older woman turned around when she saw one of her sons greet someone and then made eye contact with me. I saw her look past me, however, and look straight at my dad with a face of recognition.

She slowly walked over to us, "Patrick? Patrick Pine?" she asked and Ruby and I shared looks not knowing how this woman would know our dad. His face however turned into a bright smile as he walked forward and greeted her with a hug.

"Molly it's so lovely to see you, I'm glad you and your family are well," dad said while she still looked awe struck.

"I have to say Pat when I heard you and Jenny were moving to the states I never thought I'd see you again, much less have your children go to school with mine!" she exclaimed happily while grabbing me and Ruby's cheeks like a grandmother would.
