Week 13
You absentmindedly flipped through your phone, looking for something to occupy your time as you waited at the doctor's office. Next to you, your husband was relaxing. His eyes were closed, head leaning back against the wall and his arms crossed. He looked like he was trying to look cool in the waiting room, but you had a feeling it was actually him trying to relax his nerves.
Though he'd never say it, Bakugou was always more nervous than you about these check-ups. Maybe it was the idea of you or the baby possibly being at risk, but he always felt tense while he was here.
He couldn't understand how and why you could be so calm. But as he peaked a single eye open to glance at you, he saw you yawn softly and continue to scroll through your social media feed. He huffed, making you gently bring a hand onto his arm. You squeezed his arm sweetly, a certain tone of excitement in your squeeze.
Bakugou exhaled slowly, seeing as he should try to be calmer as well. After all, he was getting another baby soon and should be just as excited as you. He gently brought his hand back over yours and squeezed your hand himself.
Your lips cracked a smile. Slowly, you turned your head to him. He looked at you as you held up your phone towards him.
"Take a lot at these two posts." You spoke, a soft chuckle escaping your lips.
Bakugou rose a brow but did as told. His eyes looking at the pictures before reading the text below. Then he moved onto the next one and let a frustrated sign escape his lips.
"Why the fuck do all our shitty classmates from UA want to take the spotlight away from me having a damn kid?" He cursed and you chuckled while lightly batting his arm now.
"Oh hush!" You laughed. "This just means that our little baby will have some playmates just like Katsuko did!"
Bakugou handed you your phone back. The images of Kirishima and Mina and Kaminari and Jirou still peaking into his vision. Apparently, both had announced their pregnancies today. Bakugou couldn't believe it. Kirishima and Mina only got married three months ago and were already in their fifth month. Meanwhile, Kaminari and Jirou were not even married, let alone engaged... yet here they were on month four.
Bakugou cursed in his head. Seeing as this time around, unlike with Katsuko, he was the last one. You were three months along, meaning his baby would come later then those two idiots' kids. He knew it was out of his control, but he couldn't shake the idea that he had somehow lost some sort of competition.
"Make sure you reach out to Kirishima and Kaminari." You told your husband. "Both were very good to you when I was pregnant with Katsuko."
Bakugou rolled his eyes. "Yeah yeah... I know, mind reader."
You glared at him, Bakugou looking at you with a slight smirk.
"Why do I always need to remind you that my quirk has nothing to do with mind reading... or are you just trying to take the piss out of me..." You scuffed at him.
"Wow... are those the damn hormones or are you taking after me too now?" Bakugou teased you.
You rolled your eyes, and looked back down at your phone. Bakugou smirked for a while longer, counting this argument as a win for him. As he continued to wait with you, his mind floated back to his two old high school friends.
Kirishima should be fine... he always was good with kids. Plus he was with the Alien, who also was really good with kids. He remembered how much the two ogled over Katsuko when they first met her. Plus... Katsuko always loved to see them both. They had become like an aunt and uncle to her, so them becoming parents should work out fine.
