Back at the base, in full concentration mode, his thoughts are interrupted by the ringing phone sitting next to him. His eyes scan over and see it's his mother.
"Hey mom," he answers his phone, looking over a few more numbers on the computer screen.
"Hey hun, how are you?"
"I'm doing pretty good. How are you?"
"Good. You still coming out to visit in a couple of days?"
"Oh yeah, of course. That's the plan."
"So, I should expect you this weekend?"
"Yeah, and maybe two other people," he says quietly, running a hand through his hair.
"Oh, two other people huh?" he hears her ask.
"Mom don't make it weird," Josh chuckles.
"Well, who else is coming?" she asks.
"It's a surprise. You'll just have to wait."
"Josh Collins, you know I don't do well with surprises."
"That's what makes it more fun mom," Josh says.
